i type terms i know exist and from what user yet nothing shows up.
basically if you type color it wont find colour. Or spaces or hyphens or lack of spaces and hyphens mess it up. It doesn’t smart search for anything it only searches for the exact string.
Can you give me examples?
It’s not really a search engine, it’s an index of posts by words they contain. I would guess that it ignores hyphens (i.e. treats them as the end of the word).
I’m a little surprised about color/colour. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t do semantic search of any kind (i.e. it won’t find synonyms), but I would have expected it to catch common alternative spellings.
i looked for mr authoritarian’s post about blackpill but it found nothing, because he said “black pill”
it seems like an early search engine that only matches exact strings.
