In the eyes of society there are catchphrases most notably phrases like “The Greater Good”, “Future Utopia”, and
“A better new tomorrow”.
Upon the realization that I know deep in my mind that I will not live long enough to see and expirience such a future for myself, why exactly should I care about such things?
Should I sacrifice my life for such lofty ideals without expiriencing or seeing the fruits of my own vicious labors merely out of a act of martyrdom?
Why should I care about these idealistic premises when infact I myself will never be able to fully expirience them for myself?
Upon understanding that in the future I will inevitably die where my entire being will be annihilated along with my own consciousness with it in extinguishment why should I care or be concerned with a future world that is not mine and that has never been mine to begin with?
You SHOULD think in terms of what you WANT rather than SHOULD, in my opinion, as you will do what you WANT, anyway.
If you WANT to do what you think you SHOULD, then you SHOULD always remember the premises of your “I SHOULD do this”.
Should it be clear that you SHOULD or SHOULDN’T do should only be based upon the arbitrary temporay circucstantial reasonings since there SHOULDN’T be any absolute timeless unconditional reasoning in your SHOULD-sphere.
What do you mean “care about such things.” Few people care at all about the necessities of our very inherent natures to fulfill the desire to live well, not just today, but tomorrow as well. The ideas themselves are meaningless unless they have the vehicle of your mind in which to dwell. Whether or not you should care is a question you must ponder in the interior of your own desperate despair.
I think perhaps the only way it really matters is in regards to your own drive to see this change. Do you wish to expend a portion of your lifes energy dedicating yourself to this goal. Or do you wish to Live without the bother of that parasitic burden? You could always become a hermit, or a recluse. Or you could destroy yourself with drugs or alcohol. I hear it’s worked well for millions of people. Or you could take your chance and try to become Historic, rather than die anonymously. Isn’t all about legacy anyway.
Well given that, I myself really don’t care for society’s lack of resolve in caring about myself therefore as a sort of mutual return I am more less likely to care for anybody outside myself.
According to society and law it is every citizen’s “duty” to care about such things where in the absence of caring brings about consequences for a individual.
And for those who live in civilization they are trapped in such a vehicle or matrix.
I have made my decision not to care.
No I do not because I believe the goal itself is absurd.
I just may become a violent hermit if I can’t get what I want…
I lack all suicidal initiative. The most likely scenario for a person like me would be homicide in contrast.
I would rather bring pain to others beyond myself because I am too selfish and self indulgent.
I have tried embracing society’s institutions only for them to betray me in return along with them turning their backs towards me.
I never make the same mistake twice.
I don’t care about legacy, fame or fortune.
I only concern myself with power, domination and pleasure.
