Seriousness

Seriousness is a mistake of youth that I cannot stop committing.
Morning after morning and into near morning
Seriousness falls over me and I over seriousness.
Tripped up and shut up I squander thoughts that meander
Sequentially through potentiality’s door of void.
Finally, I focus to find that very door has been closed,
And I’m staring at a piece of white cement.

Are you trying to say, please correct me if I’m wrong, that abstraction leads no where, and that finally you’ve stumbled upon the concrete? Or, though I prefer the previous interptation, are you trying to draw a metaphor at the end of this piece (with the white cement)? Seriousness = wall? #-o anyway, haven’t you heard?

“Life is too important
to be taken
seriously.”
