Severe, Painful, Migraines and Headaches

So much has been changing in my life this year.

And over the past week or two, I’ve been having these immensely painful migraines and headaches. I’ve also had severe heartburn which I attribute to potential heart attack. I liken all of these cases to a series of change in my life, some of them very stressful. I believe a mix of things are responsible causes. One is a girl I’ve met recently, who is profoundly influential. Much stress stems from her. But there is more. My habitat is changing, social group, all kinds of things. My body (heart) and brain (mind) are at odds. There’s an internal battle, a war going on within myself. And I fear something will break.

It feels like death is approaching me much quicker than I’ve anticipated throughout my young life. My fear is blossoming into something powerful, dark, and menacing.

Or it could be an allergy. Anything new as in food or chemicals, cleaning chemicals etc… migraines and heartburn tell me that new food or environmental chemicals have been introduced to your body. It could be simple toothpaste or your new girl’s perfume or laundry or hair treatments etc. Try allergies first before you think you’re going to die from stress.

Do you have vision problems, dizziness, or blackouts?

Any fever?

It could be serious or it could be minor.

You are suffering from stress related Forum anxiety caused by a cognitive dissonance where your previously unexamined assumptions about life, the universe, and everything.
The core of your beliefs are being challenged by the simple fact that you have encountered others with ideas you have previously not considered. These ideas are presented to you by persons who are not as young as you, and may well have walked your path already, and are way ahead of you.
The menace you feel in the new set of tensions, where your inherent rationality is competing with your childlike faith.

Did you try prayer?

I would have avoided replying this post but as this is not merely a just one odd post in a forum but may cause a serious damage to an innocent, i decided to reply.

Wizard,

You need not to pay attention to the advices given to you by such persons, who think that religious beliefs are the only cause of all the troubles in this world, and certainly not from such a person who finds pleasure in teasing persons, dead or alive, just because he does not like them. One, who himself is not in the right frame of the mind, will never be able to help any other person. And remember, i am not this saying his because of his beliefs or ideology, but his attitude and mindset. Your ideology or beliefs has nothing to do with your problem.

It is certainly a personal comment on Lev, and i did not want to say this either. Perhaps, I may get some kind of warning for this too but i do not care because your real life is more important than my internet life.

The first and foremost thing that you have to do is take break from your routine life, whatever it may be. Then, the second step should be to spend some days with such a person whom you trust the most. If you cannot decide that, go for your blood relations like siblings and parents. Parents are the preferred choice.

Do not try to sort out this issue by thinking now. You are in not in the right frame of mind and body to handle this alone. Firstly, you need to offload this stress and that can be done only by sharing it with someone who is close to your heart. That is not possible on the net. You have to do it in real life.

Lev, i sincerely apologize for my personal comment. I would not have done that in any case if the real life of a person was not the issue. But, you should also refrain yourself from making such comments that may harm one’s real life in one way or other. You can report my post if you want. You have every right to do that.

And, consult the doctor for sure, if there is any physical issue. Do not keep that pending.

Prayer works only when one has deep and real faith, mere belief is not sufficient enough to initiate the process.

I was being ironic.

Watch your blood sugar levels.

Smoke cannabis, or vape it. My ex fiance had severe migraines and they helped her tremendously, she probably is still using it as her medicine right now. It is an anti-inflammatory as well and anti-stress.

Fear of death? Yet you believe in god? Isn’t that one of the whole reasons that people believe in the first place, to combat fear? If it helps lessen your fear a little, just know that we go back to the Universe, and our bodies back to the Earth. Nothing to be fearful of. Death comes before life.

Phyllo, yes I do get disoriented and my vision blurs sometimes. I could be nearing a stroke or something. The atheists here would be so lucky…but I shall persist in spite of them.

Nice try Muishkin, but it’s not from this forum. Believe it or not, I do have more important things going on than proving children wrong all day on the forum.

You should not be ironic with such a person who is going through a difficut time in his life. It can be expected from Lev, not from you. Irrespective of what your philosophical perception is, you are certainly one of the good and serious posters at ILP. I have not seen you making such comments before.

If i knew that you were being ironic, my reply would have been completely different.

zinnat13, i agree

Sauwelious, is my blood sugar too high or too low?

It fluctuates, but its being too low may be what causes your headaches. It tends to be in my case (also lack of fresh air, that is, oxygen–which pertains to the same issue). The key is to eat regularly and sufficiently (varied and healthily doesn’t hurt, either). I used to have bad headaches for several days every week, but now I only get them when I neglect the above for too long.

Praying caused his headaches in the first place!

Why not just ask your invisible buddy; god?

Prayer is the well wishes of others. It may help to know people are praying for you. Count me among them. You need some good vibes.

Muishkin,

Because I’m not vain, like you atheists, to convince myself that god revolves around me.

You need to get checked out by a doctor as soon as possible. There are a number of potentially fatal diseases/conditions that cause those symptoms.(Blood clots are one).

If you have low blood sugar or diabetes, then that can easily be determined with a blood test.

Seriously, don’t take chances with your health. And don’t rely on an internet diagnosis.

I agree with phyllo that you should get it checked by the doctors at the earliest.

I am not a doctor, but if that happens usually to you, and everytime in the same way, it must be some issue related to the brain. I do not think that blood sugar would have any role here.
