Polygamy is insane, I can barely keep up with one woman, why would any man want multiple women simultaneously? More women is just more problems, one woman is hard enough to contend with.

Of course – I go much further though. Women shouldn’t be in politics in general. Giving them “the vote” hurts women more than helps. I don’t believe ‘votes’ should go to people who can’t don’t won’t or shouldn’t fight on frontlines in war.

Abrahamic morals & ethics were adapted differently and separately by their genetic regions. With the Catholic/European admixture, Universalism took hold and became the rule. Monogamy is easy to understand, easy to apply, 1 man 1 woman for each household. Monogamy also represents K-sexual selection in Nature. So Monogamy is beneficial for highly intelligent and organized societies.
Polygamy does create male infighting, since some males will be left out of the gene pool. This causes disloyalty and dissension in a society.
Women’s power with sex seems to specifically locate on the ‘No’ and denial of mate courtship. Without that ability to decline men, women are very powerless throughout society. So when young women enter puberty, adolescence, and then full sexual maturity, they lack the Wisdom that comes with age. They are unable to properly defend themselves against infiltration of men who use lies, cunning, and other methods against them.
State, or Church, neither can fully prepare a young woman for her sexual experiences. And shouldn’t it be the parents responsibility? Well, in USA, not according to many political groups and ideologies. As with the OP, political and religious interests are all focused in on ‘controlling’ female sexuality, so by extension, all sexuality.
Unless young males are ‘vetted’ through institutions, Indoctrination into dogmas and other social stratification, then they are “not allowed” to sexually pursue or even garner sexual desire and interest into certain ‘classes’ of women. It’s a very deep subject matter, because of how sexual choice is experienced from person to person, on the individual level.
You’re talking about your own personal experience. I’m talking about the bigger picture. Of course, many will see themselves as exception.
