Matter vibrates, releasing energies that diverge and lessen. The same energy is coming inward from all directions from all the distant matter in parallel lines. Gravity and Inertia result from the difference in these two opposing pushes- which is GEOMETRY john
How did you come to that conclusion?
It’s short but in being short it lacks detail, how and why does this happen, what about the matter actually makes gradients of gravitational attraction. This is not really getting to the heart of the matter. Newton produced maths that showed gravity attracts by an inverse relation to mass and distance. Einstein showed why it attracts through a gradient created by different energy/mass concerns. We now need to know if there is like the other forces some sort of mediation particle that causes fields of gravitation to be created, we seem to have some tentative proof such particles exist, and I say tentative meaning they are by no means conclusive.
Explaining that things have a gradient of attractive value has already been explained in detail, but it suggests only that gravity will always attract according to the amount of energy/mass present, says nothing in any detail about a model that can be used generically across all physics that explains how the force induces attraction in mass objects, how the fields themselves arise and if indeed they do according to some particle model or are not something more intrinsic than the standard models mediation theories: electron and photon, and akin to these force mediators Higg’s Boson and graviton which are now both theoretical with electromagnetism as a theory of course being much stronger than the other.
Parallel lines I don’t really see what that means, they are coming in at all angles from everywhere, any point in space has an energy concern, any point in space has a gravitational concern thus. Parallel lines is not really apt it’s probably better to make the argument that every point in space is connected to every other point in space by an energy concern, and by connected I do not mean like a lattice structure or “physically” connected, although the analogy would help you visualise it better, each point has an affect on each other point and every point in space according to the difference in energy or mass concerns between each point. Suffice to say the energy is coming in in waves from all directions in a 4 dimensional space to which terms like parallel lines are meaningless.

I wouldn’t have guessed that Helper bothered to try to understand what we already do know about gravity before making his post. Seems like one of those, ‘I’m high and I’m thinking deep thoughts about physics’ posts, as opposed to…you know…someone who’s actually studied the matter trying to explain it in a coherent way.
Probably but we should always be thinking of the lurkers. ![]()

That is a pretty associated with the truth of it, but as pointed out, lacking a few serious details.
Things don’t actually “gravitate” in the classical sense. They migrate.
I would ask James what he meant by that but since I know I wont get an answer I will just say you are being obtuse, and leave it at that. Gravitate vs migrate? What does that mean?

This is pure nonsens.
This could fit sound vibrations, water droplets hitting water, or whatever.
Any reasonable intelligent person should see it makes no sense.
The single body radiates the equivalent
of neutrinos, but these are individually
smaller than those radiated by stars
in the same ratio as the atom is
smaller than the galaxy- 1 to 10^67.
However, they are equally more
numerous.
For a single body, the energy falls
off with distance because it is
diverging. But, for the infinite
bodies in any chosen direction,
that same energy is incoming at
at a constant value. Thus,
gravity/inertia is dependent on
a body’s diameter.
