Hey,
Just a bit of fun for the holiday season, join up at Frappr and stamp your geographic location (and a picture) on the map.
Enjoy!
That’s a fun idea Ben.
It was posted in the suggestions forum, which is quite an interesting little bit of ILP if you are into that sort of thing…
I put myself on t’map (local accent joke - I actually speak like a softy southern nonce).
P.S. Did anyone else watch the Question Time that had Ben on it?
what’ll make it more fun is if alot of people get involved.
That was Fun!
yeah, it is fun! its also great for stalkers! hooray for stalkers!
Of course I would double-post my photo…
This really is fun!
So far, people who live near each other:
BMW-Guy and Daybreak
Thirst4Metal and Embracetrees
TheAdlerian and Dunamis (hah!)
And everyone who lives in UK because it’s all close!
Shout out to persistanmemory in Armenia…
Keep em coming folks,
Hey, I used live in NYC around 31st street!
I noticed that Dunamis seems to live at the end of a dock on the river. Is that like his secret liar or what?
embracetrees: yeah, it is fun! its also great for stalkers! hooray for stalkers!"
Kropotkin: Stalkers just mean you have succeded. Only people
worth stalking get one. I keep waiting by the door for my stalker
and sadly he/she/it never shows.
Someday maybe?
Kropotkin
Maybe I’m… I mean, who ever is stalking you is just good at hiding.
I like this idea, because you can see other member’s photos. The Official ILP photo thread is much to large, and it takes approximately 9.73468766 lightyears to load on my Dial-up connection.
BTW: my photo is a tad corny. I do not have a digital camera (I have three graphing calculators and five USB flash drives, but I STILL cannot get a cheap digital camera?). At anyrate, I cropped my face out of a larger photo taken by someone else. In order to make the backgroud look somewhate more coherent with my face, I edited the photo’s background.
The resulting product was a mess, as you can see.
How did you do that? I don’t have a clue as to how to get a photo to show up at the bottom of the screen.:-?
I never realised Old Gobbo was in New Scotland…
I’m willing to bet that few of you will have been to the real Scotland, and possibly none of you have been to the Isle of Skye, which is one of the very parts of these islands…
I’ve driven through it. Does that count?
Yes, that counts…
Aporia. I used to live in Burnsville, about a million years
ago. Early 70ties I also lived in bloomington and edina, and
I was born in Minneapolis. My brother still lives in St. Paul.
I now live in California because I can’t take snow and cold
anymore. I once walked a mile in 45 below zero, (not wind chill,
the actual temperature) because the car broke down.
I won’t even visit a area that has snow and is cold.
Kropotkin
My sister has stayed there for a day, does that count for me?
Now the real question becomes, if you were just using the map and not the sidebar or my conveniently listed location, could you find me on the map?

embracetrees:
I would laugh, but have been stalked several times by my ex and a few other boyfriends. I guess I have no sense of humor on this count, especially since my friends, their children, and several boyfriends were threatened “You care about your life or children don’t you?.” Grr.
Smiles,
