The forums on this site are identical, or very similar to those on http://forum.lddebate.org. Is there a reason for this?

Any similarity is coincidence or explained by the fact that philosophy is quite a well known topic and there are more than one set of forums about it on the internet.

The forums are far from identical. Unless you mean that both boards use phpbb
