"Details of the suspects were revealed as police staged a controlled explosion at a hospital near Glasgow today.

The junior doctor has been named as Bilal Abdulla, who is said to have completed his medical training in Baghdad.

The suspected ringleader of the Al Qaeda car bombers is a brilliant neurologist working for the NHS."

but I heard that socialist doctors wanted to help people for free, not kill them by the thousands…

Wow, dude. That’s way ad hominem, or guilt by association. You’re saying that a system is wrong because one of its cogs does bad things on the side? That’s not a valid argument.

nothing of the sort… I did not argue anything about the system. I am simply reporting the news.

but it is lovely to know that the socialist medicine in england needs doctors so badly that they import terrorists to cure the sick…

Ok, I have caught on to what is happening here. Imp and Carleas are a comedy team determined to educate the masses at the Social Science forum.

Notice how many times Imp starts a thread with some outlandish claims complete with fallacious reasoning, only to be followed shortly thereafter by Carleas who posts a link to the kind of fallacy Imp exhibits.

It is like if Bud Abbot and Lou Costello were your rhetoric proffesors.

Imp: “Godless Liberals are on First”
Carleas: “But that is a Strawman”
Imp: “No, the Strawman is on Second”

And so on.

what?

-Imp

Makes sense to me.

It’s been quite entertaining.

Is it working?

I don’t know

-Imp

Is that an argument from ignorance?

third base.
