What is supernatural(ism)?
PREAMBLE
This is the physical universe:
Science tells us, though no scientist ever will, that because of the speed of light nothing is connected in the universe. The only way that things are connected is through quantum probability, but that topic is still an undercooked chicken.
This is the universe of consciousness:
Consciousnesses are also unconnected. Consciousnesses appear and vanish with no trace of having appeared and vanished.
CONCLUSION
Physical objects and consciousness objects are alike in that they are incommensurables in their own domain - they are like Liebniz’s monads; they never register their neighbour.
The difference between physical objects and consciousness objects is that the former do not vanish and appear, but the latter do.
Now we can come to a definition of the supernatural. Supernaturalism is not the deliberate confusion that we call superstition(making physical objects behave like consciousness objects and vice versa). Supernaturalism also ought not to be about consciousness objects that vanish and appear - such objects are natural and not extra-natural.
What makes something supernatural is the means by which incommensurable objects, whether physical or consciousnesses, become commensurate. That is, i) the way that physical objects become connected through quantum probability (where events occur simultaneously at a distance), and ii) the way that consciousness objects become connected through synchronicity.
What is strange, and appears to have passed everyone by, is that even though physical objects are not connected to each other physically, and consciousness objects are not connected to each other consciously, the physical and the consciousness objects seem to be connected as brain and mind, though I never really believed in such a connection.
