Tech reviews and/or recommendations

Seeing that I have quite a few apps on my devices and smart-tech around my home, I thought it only fitting I share my opinion on them… starting with a ‘smart/PT-fitness-tracker’.

New arrivals… the mobile phone is arriving any minute now, the rest… over the next few days.

The cordless house phone and wireless-charging-dock, were [my exact taste] accidentally stumbled-across products.

The Philips Water Instant Water Filter - 3L Capacity

…arrived yesterday - using with bottled water not tap water, to remove microplastics, which bottled water has 10x more of than tap…

So far, so good… :ok_hand:t3:

I do that, too. Not 100% consistently, though.

look up Project Farm’s water filter review.

This water filter review?

.

I mainly wanted to filter plastics from my bottled water -I stopped drinking tap-water years ago, filtered or otherwise- but I will be installing a mains water-filter very soon, one that also breaks up limescale in the pipes, which is a must in limescale-heavy Britain.

My taps and shower have individual filters, but a mains filter is obviously more practical to have… though what I did find very helpful in that video were the outdoor makeshift filters, that worked better than the retail ones.

what do they use in pipes over there, pvc, metal, ceramic?

.
From the Thames Water website…

Polyethylene is the preferred material for barrier pipes. For service connections where the pressure is greater than 12.5 bar, we must use copper pipes to BS EN 1057 R220, coated with factory-applied PVC or equivalent approved material.

so they must use poison plastic to coat the pipes

.
Lol…

…designed for protection against aggressive environment and colour coded to aid identification.

Copper tube with a PVC sheath may be an effective method of protection against attack in harsh operating conditions. The PVC is tightly extruded onto the tube and is available in black, white, blue, yellow and green colours according to customer requirements.

The coating is on the outside… so non-intrusive.

Interesting how water filters are filled with only sand and/or charcoal, but yet can cost almost as much as the water filter unit itself, to replace. :unamused:

thats good, do they put pvc in the states?

its because of capitalism

in the project farm video most of the filters he reviews are scams

today i was looking for exciting tech videos, but all the ones i see are just decadent capitalism, nothing new or innovation. example, this is what i see there is nothing new, its just cucktech

nothing new just variations of pre-existing tech

if u got any exciting tech videos post em please

…in the United States?

I think the perfect government is a combination of Socialism Capitalism and Communism in that order, because… Socialism = order/nationalisation, Capitalism = goals/aims/decadence, Communism = unity/restraint.

I’ll say one thing… since I’ve been ‘aghast at/laughed about’ countries being the mean sum of their GDP/GDPR, I’ve noticed that that sum has stopped being bandied-about London Town and beyond… it’s good to [still] have some influence, I suppose. :smirk:
.
¿Next up? influentially-speaking… ; )

.

Talking of new tech… my dad was the first person in the UK to buy a video-player… he put one on order as soon as he heard about their existence. lol
.
Regarding new technological advancements, I’ll message you it.

divided states

agree

humanity as a whole tends to lag behind and resist upgrades and improvements to the system

first or one of the first?

This technology utilises the piezoelectric effect, where specific materials generate an electric charge when subjected to mechanical stress.

Commonly placed in high-traffic locations like train stations, these tiles capture the movement of pedestrians to create renewable energy, which can be used to power lighting, small devices, or other nearby systems.

.
More planet-friendly technological installations like this one / less warring and fighting, and we just might finally be able to call our planet “civilised”… coz it sure ain’t that yet.

.
With all the new ‘labourers’ that have arrived in the West, surely we could make this happen here…

More efficient recycling methods:

.
The only thing about using [recycled] plastic for roads, is that plastic nano particles are thrown into the air, with ‘each’ and ‘every’ stop and start of each and every car.

.
The way this house unfolds from a large block into a sprawling house, is insane.

Who wouldn’t mind living here?
