Tech reviews and/or recommendations

yea i found that strange. their computers seem ok. prices could be better and dont follow moores law. they are still trying to peddle dual core potato PCs at physical stores, wtf. when you can buy used pc for half the price. trying to sell new pcs worse than 2014 used pc, for 600 dollars at physical stores in 2024, wtf.

then the store went out of business, lol, capitalists are so fucking dumb.

Yes. This. I’m sometimes using an old Thinkpad from 2008 instead of the desktop. Upgraded it to 8GB.

Still using it. If it breaks there are parts all over the place.

In relation to what they are, you can get them dirt cheap, I just use Ebay for both machines and parts, but maybe there’s other places.

Have bought one for several people, and no complaints. It does the job.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

There are some things better than money, such as your mental health and your soul. AI told me you should prioritize your soul’s well being instead of money.

You considered upgrading that potato yet? Doesn’t that shit lag and freeze constantly? Or do you only ever have 1 program and 1 tab open at any given time?

If you can get something as good for less money, then that’s what to do. Yep there are better things, I know that too.

Why is it a potato? It works fine, I have plenty running and there’s still memory to spare..

The idea is to show that you don’t need to spend a thousand or more on a laptop…

8GB and no lag or freezing, ever?

How many tabs and programs do you ever have open? Are you on Linux, is that why it doesn’t lag?

my computer was less than 200 and has way better specs…

Old tech, explained..

It would take eight man hrs max to drop the transmission, go into it, swap the part, and reinstall the transmission. The part cost about $50 bucks. It’s a metal ring about the size of your hand. No rebuilding the gears or any of that shit that’s why trans work is so expensive.

Dude doesn’t think i know this… or maybe he hopes the “times are tough… gotta raise my prices” bit will work. It would, yes, but not in the absence of organized revolution. That’s to say that unless we are deliberately united in a revolt against the cause of prices rising, etc., we are simply competitors trying to exploit the other as much as possible so that we don’t suffer the effects of rising prices.

When this dude says those wordz to me as a capitalist (the garage owner) it is like a martian trying to communicate with you. Like an entirely different species that you share nothing with… no contracts, no morals, no sympathy, nothing. The wordz are empty.

Please see my review on Google maps for Auto Performance Center in Garner N.C.

If you read the review, you’ll understand why i have this pet theory as well: bro may have literally broken my truck motor mounts to get back at me for calling him out on power-breaking my Escalade and breaking it’s motor mounts a year earlier. Like an “Oh yeah?! I’ll show him!”

Strangely coincidental this motor mount business.

Please re-read my scathing review as I have edited some corrections and included photo exhibits A and B. Thank you and good day.
