The American revolution, part two

The declaration of Independence lays out the argument colonial
America had with the mother country, Great Britian…
The declaration, simply put, is a list of grievousness we
had with England… and it explains that because of this list,
we are in conflict with England… the first paragraph
of the declaration:

‘‘When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one
people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with
another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and
equal station to which the laws of nature and of Nature’s god entitled
them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they
should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.’’

the point of the American experiment is to explore the possibility
of the people, the common people, having the ability to work out
their own future and with the aid of representatives who conduct
the people’s business, the common man does his thing, whatever
that maybe… and the congress, the representatives act in the name
of the people… and we have, and congress has lost sight of that
fact… they are, congress, to do the will of the people…and
they are not to tell us what to do, we tell them what to do… and we
have lost sight of that fact…in fact, all of government, from
the very top, the presidency, down to the local city hall, has
lost sight of this essential fact, that the government is,
the work staff of the people… doing their business…
and we have, and the government has lost sight of this…

Part of the current chaos of America is that the will of the
people, has been subverted… the government is busy doing
everything but the will of the people…or to boil this down to
one basic fact, the people are in charge, not
the government… that is why it is called a democracy…
now those might say, technically, America is a ‘‘Representative
democracy’’

The modern day government has its own agenda… which has
nothing to do with following the will of the people… and therein lies
part of the American problem…if this is actually a democracy,
then who exactly is doing the will of the people, if it isn’t the
government? As far as I can tell, no one is engaged in
following the will of the people…

But Kropotkin, what exactly is the ‘‘will of the people?’’

That is far easier than we think…
what are the needs of the people?
We can simply follow the needs of people, both specifically
and in general… people need the biological needs, of food,
water, shelter, education, health care… those are the basic
essential biological needs of everyone on planet earth…
but people also have psychological needs that must be met…
love, the need for esteem, the need to belong, safety/security,
and for those who achieve all that, the need for expression…
if I were to include a basic human need to Maslow, I would
include the need for self-expression…and a government
that interferes with this basic need of self-expression, is also
interfering with a basic, fundamental need of human beings…
thus, we can say that the need to express oneself, by
the many and various ways we express ourselves,
must be allowed… thus we cannot, cannot ban people
expressing themselves by unconventional means…
cross dressing for example… that is a means of expression
and it doesn’t harm anyone… the need to express oneself
sexually, to love who we love… that is a form of expression…
to ban that is to ban the act of expression…

and a government that ban self-expression, is a government
that is failing in its duties to the people… I can express myself
without any acts of violence or harm to anyone… and that is not
only what we need, but what, as human beings, we require…
to ban self-expression, one may as well ban eating and education…
it is that basic in human nature for us, as human beings, to express
our being and nature…

the next call is to the nature of who exactly does the government
actually obey? It has become quite clear, that big corporations
and wealthy individuals have bought, lock, stock and barrel,
the American government…don’t believe me, how does a senator
like Mitch McConnel, who only makes 200,000 dollars a year,
become worth over 40 million dollars? Being a Senator for
30 years, at 200,000 dollars a year, one will only make
6 million dollars and yet, McConnel is worth 40 million dollars…
If that isn’t being bought and sold, what is? If our representatives
are being paid, as they clearly are being paid, to represent others,
big business and wealthy individuals, then who exactly is
representing us, the people? No one that I can tell…

Which is the entire point of democracy… that the government,
the representative of congress, represent us, the people…
and if they do not, then the contract between the people
and the government has become null and void…

Now I am not going to engage in the MAGA nonsense…
and make the insane claims that they make…
I am going to stick to the basics…
that big business and wealthy individual bribe congressmen
has been codified by the Supreme Court judgment ''Citizens United""
case…if congress has been bought and sold, it no longer does the
business of the people, the very reason for the congress existence…
and it has lost its value to the American people…
and if it cannot be reformed, as I fear it cannot be, then
it has become worthless and must be removed…

I by making this declaration, has violated American law…
which is another brick in the wall… the basic fundamental
reason America exists, is the declaration of Independence,
which calls for the ending of a government that is no longer
doing the will of the people… I am violating the law in acting
exactly like the declaration of Independence… calling for
the end of the American government as being no longer responsive
to the American people… the American government no longer
represents the American people… in doing the people’s will…
in following the needs of the people… which is, as I have
stated, is to meet the needs of the people, of food, water,
shelter, education, and health care… and, in meeting the
psychological needs of the American people…
which is finding love, in safety/security, in the sense of
belonging, and in finding esteem…

the people, the American people do not work for the government,
the government works for the people and as we have lost
this basic and fundamental point of democracy,
this government no longer deserves our loyalty…
and no longer deserves our allegiance…

if reform is not possible, then revolution becomes the only
choice… so, can we reform the American government into
its primary task of being the voice of the American people?
the actor that makes the desires of the American people
possible? that the American government is in fact,
not the lead of American policy, but the enforcer of the
American people…

So, we have a couple of choices, reform the government to make
it responsive to the American people, to return the American people
to being the boss of the American government, or to overthrow the
American government as being no longer the, as democracies should
be, in the hands of the American people…

As all political questions revolve around two points,
who is in charge, and who pays for it…
and that answer has become quite clear…

So, Kropotkin, what exactly are you calling for?

it’s simple… government of the people, for the people,
by the people… and we do not have that right now…
because right now,

we have government of big business, for big business
and by big business…

and that is not what is called for in the Declaration of Independence…
