Because I mean…“the eternal truth of civilization”. That’s a pretty mundane topic dude. First off, we’ve all read shit tons of philosophy and poetry and we’re all worldly and all that, so when we, as an audience see people talking about things like “eternal truths”, or “everything is energy” or you know the kinds of things I’m talking about…well…it’s just…I dunno man. It’s a statement so bold the problems with it are sticking out like billboards, and it says more about the person saying it than it does the world, and I dunno man…

You could say things like…person x has demonstrated this behavior on the world political stage and I think the intentions are y and the outcome will be z. Morally, I feel as though this person’s behavior should be judged on arbitrary criteria #1 and arbitrary criteria #2. Then you just fend off accusations of fallacies until everyone gives up and walk away validated somehow.
