Yes, you knew it, and you got it. You got that 1/10 in base 3 is a non infinite decimal. And you get that 10 in base 3 means 3 in base 10, that they’re equivalent.
So you get it! You get that you can divide by 3 without getting an infinite decimal! I love to see it, congratulations.
1 apple in base 3 is exactly the same as 1 apple in base 10. lly 1 divided by 3. “10” in base 3 literally means 3. That’s how bases work.
You also knew when you said it that it meant that. You knew that 10, in base 3, is the same as the quantity of letters in the following quote: “EEE”. Right? You knew that when you said it

Flannel.
There’s a difference between thinking in a base and discussing base conversion.
1.0 dozen eggs divided by 3 means each part is .333… Dozen
12 Eggs divided by 3 means each part is 4 eggs.
4 eggs x 3 parts = 12 eggs
.333… Dozen x 3 parts = .999… Dozen
That 12 eggs can be divided equally into 3 parts and 1 dozen can’t be divided equally is because when you divide 1 by 3 you always have a remainder of 1 that can not be divided equally, so the division can’t be completed.
Since the division is never completed the remainder is not part of the .999…, so it can’t total 1.0 Dozen.
It is no different than dividing 100 pennies by 3 people and stopping at 33 for each person (totaling 99 pennies) and not including that 1 remaining penny. So the total is 99, not 100.
My man MD is an expert troll. I know for a fact that he gets all of this. He gets that base 10 is just arbitrary, and that division produces non infinite decimals in other bases. He’s literally said straight up that he gets it!
He’s been keeping up this trolling for months, maybe years. Expert. I’m impressed
…and what’s even funnier is that one guy thinks that 20.875 seconds after 12:00 is the same time as 20.8 seconds after 12:00, it’s just that 20.875 seconds is more precise. LOL
Yeah, 1:00 PM is the same time as 1:30, it’s just that 1:30 is more precise! ROTFLMAO
Do you agree that if the 3 people each have 33 pennies that 33 x 3 = 99 and there is a remainder of 1 penny not included in the 33 x 3 = 99? Do you agree that (3 x 33) + 1 = 100??
