I think it is eloquently fitting that my farewell thread should be so graciously hijacked by such blatant penis waving. It condenses my entire ILP experience into one very manageable metaphor.

Take care of yourself, and thank you for starting this damn place up - wether I keep on thinking, or pack it in altogether, ILP will always be the place it all started. The roller-coaster. The fallen comrades, and those still aprowl - half-hidden in the undernet; the die-hard two-centers, the mad the bad and the good to know.
And of course, all these fucking noobs.

Farewell, Ben. You have done an admirable job with ILP. I imagine it’s hard to leave, but eventually all parents have to learn to cut the apronstrings. ILP has prospered over the years, and I think you’ve left it in good hands.
