The Myth of Primordial Salad

  1. Also, interdimensional travelers may have migrated here to engineer life.

what are interdimensional travelers???

Ref; Randomness = Disorder

Sentient life that’ve manufactured means of traveling from one dimension to another.

Google Reptilian Shapeshifters, David Icke.

They could’ve very well engineered life on earth.

The evidence is that everything is made out of matter. Even if aliens did engineer life- which is stupid, by the way, the aliens would have had to come from somewhere, from something. That somewhere and something is matter.

Of course, I’m sure everything your unfamiliar with sounds stupid.

The aliens who may have created life here may have been created by other aliens… who were created by others… who were created by others…

I’m not suggesting aliens engineered every lifeform on earth but they may have gotten life started.

This thread is too much the ID line of (lack of) reasoning. The conditions necessary for life to appear wasn’t just one in a trillion trillion, although that is the “reasoning” behind the ID argument. The primordial soup would have had billions of potential pre-biotics and all coming into being at roughly the same time as the “stew” made life not only possible, but inevitable. Put your thinking cap on for about 30 seconds. Even if there was just one possible chance of life beginning per gallon of water, (and there would have been millions), the chances of life appearing would in the mega-trillions. The idea that there could only be one possible chance for life to appear, just one cell in the whole oceanic soup, is stupidity beyond stupid - but it sounds good if you’re not thinking. We didn’t need aliens or any intervention to bring life about on this planet. All we needed were the right conditions and a few million years…

can you be more specific about your theory of the origin of life???/

We don’t need your theory to bring about life on this planet either, we have extraterrestrial engineering and bacteria hitching a ride on astroids from other planets (far more plausible, in my mind). It’s rediculous to think something as complex as a bacteria, which is as complex as a computer, could be formed in soup or salad.

turtle,

I’m the wrong person to explain the intracacies of the chemistry involved leading up to the beginning of life. Xunzian can lay out the sequential conditions that made life inevitable. I’m relying on other’s expertise in this matter. I just wanted to show that the one-in-some-astronomical figure doesn’t make any sense. The conditions for life to begin would have been overwhelmingly present, not just one chance in a bucket of water.

Xunz, splain this if you would, please…

lucis trust you are saying we dont need the tentative theory. but you are the one that was complaining that schools are not discussing alternate theories…now there i would challenge you…

Excellent point Turtle, I felt emotionally threatened by Tent when he said we don’t need my theory, so I wanted to get back at him, but I welcome their theory too.

What/where we may have come from, and how that evolution occurred are two different things, no? Say, for example, you choose to believe we came from aliens who traveled here on meteors. You’re still left to wonder how those aliens came to be. An alternate theory should hope to pinpoint both the source and mechanism of our supposed evolution.

The question is still how something might arise from nothing, or whether there ever was a state of ‘nothingness’ to begin with.

I thought I dealt with this already, the aliens came from other aliens who came from other aliens and so on and so forth ad infinitum. Life may never have originated from non-life.

Does that mean the universe and life in it has no origin, or that the origin produced both simultaneously? If the former, is that not contrary to what we observe in every life form around us? If the latter, life came from something other than itself.

How so?

Right, it (life) and everything else came from spontaneous materialization. I’m not keen on this.

You’ve observed life forms with no apparent origin?

What are you keen on?

As far as we’ve observed, all life comes from life.

The former.

You’re a fucking idiot, Lucis. Basically all of you are fucking idiots, I have come to accept that hard fact. You’re all insane, absurd, and fucking stupid. Someone just shoot me right now.

thank you ap.
