Actually… on the topic of best piano players, I can’t for the life of me remember his name… everytime he performed in front of an audience he played like shit.
Social anxiety. But people would quietly surround is apartment door and listen to him. Apparently he was beyond amazing.
<Let’s turn the table on you…Show me a single Horowitz performance I can’t find a better rendition of
??? What are you really asking? Didn’t I give you his “superb” interpretation of Chopin Mazuruka? Did you think that recording was shitty? What else you want?
Go ahead and keep spelling out some names I can not check and verify on youtube I am sure they are great based on all the statements you had made showing your ignorance and “MUSICAL DEAF” HAHAHAHAAH And keep spelling out all the nonsense and lies that Rachmaninoff and Horowitz (Greatest of greatest) are shitty pianists. I’m sure all the intelligent and cultured viewers will judge our dialogues fairly. HAHAHAHAHA I’m not going to waste any more time with you
You’re a troll. Kelly Yost mazurkas aren’t difficult to find if you spend a few bucks. She died somewhat recently in her 80’s and is an extremely well respected pianist for those that KNOW about piano
I have said more than enough, especially about trying to understand how one of the greatest pianists “Horowitz” can be a “shitty pianist” as ECMANDU argued. As you clearly saw, he failed to demonstrate [never giving us a single clip which Horowitz playing the piano “shitty”], on top of the fact he shows severe lack of comprehension shill (which lead him to keep misquoting what I said). So I will NOT wasting any more time with him. So please do not be surprised to not see my reply to him any more. I’m sure some of you may had good time and valuable information based on some of my artistic knowledge I shared here. Anyway, have a great day, everyone!
I know there’s not much piano online. I won’t fault you for not being able to find it.
Fuck. I’m still waiting for Leslie Howard’s’ ossia version of Liszts transcription of the funeral march in Beethoven’s 7th symphony to be uploaded so I can share it.
I always had a habit of loaning out my favorite books etc… to people and never got them back.
Who’s the best recorded Scarlatti player … I’ll make it easier… Liszt played on the same piano and called it divine. I’ll make it even easier, this pianist got a PhD in linguistics from MIT and quit to be one of the most renowned pianists of all time.
Second question. Who plays the best wedding march (Mendelssohn/Liszt)?
Just joshing Ec, but i think I agree, Czifra studied at the Liszt Unstitute, and that gives some credence to his affinity for Liszt, one noteable thing, though, List’s fingers were very long , which enabled him to cover octaves with more reach of breath then shorter fingered pianists.
That Chopin and Liszt covered similar ideomatic musical structure in Paris’ heyday of the later Romantic period, speaks volumes as well.
