If there are two entities, one is full, one is miserable, the miserable entity will ignore the full entity for a while.
Over time, the miserable entity will grow a spiritual bitterness, as a function of the percieved time occurred, multiplied by the percieved happiness of the other organism.
The evil will continue to grow and grow, until it inevitably inflicts misery on the other entity. This is as simple as the laws of space…Pressure can only expand so far until it exceeds its bounds.
The human, has a short lifespan. It is possible for a miserable human to stomach his misery without lashing out to the external organism.
The lion, has limited awareness. Thus in the equation, it has a low value of percieved time, and it also has a low value of the ability to percieve the happiness of an organism outside of itself.
But disembodied spirits, or godlike entities, have high values for the equations. Therefore reasoning with them to not be evil, is unreasonable.
They also have old minds, saturated with the process of hedonistic desensitivity. They crave and need constant stimulation due to their ancient minds and hedonistic ways.
You cannot simply reason with such a mind, and tell it to stop being evil, as much as you can reason with the wind and tell it not to blow.
There must be incentives. You must promise the organism happiness, comfort, and salvation, and pray that it can love itself enough not to prevent you from helping it achieve these things. It must be saved from its own stale mind, its own hedonism, its own evil, so that itself, and all of spacetime can benefit. Such are with gods. But teaching humans these things…can they understand? I pray that both the Gods and humans can understand, that they not be too consumed by their own madness to see salvation.
