In the modern democratic liberal capitalist era there is no ethnic or racial slavery, all races are equal where all different ethnic races of human beings can be enslaved together perfectly in the equality of shared misery.
In the technological era of modern advancement we exist in the information, knowledge, and skillset portion of human slavery where you’re a slave or not depending on what you mentally know. The information slave economy, the less you know in terms of individual skillsets of knowledge the more probable chance you’ll be sold into labor slavery by the rest of the society you live in.

How much money do you possess to purchase your freedom citizen? Constant servitude under your betters will set you free, if you’re lucky.
Every day the state has to constantly remind people they are free, equal, and independent in order to give a false impression to a society that is a nation of slaves. In a truly free society of men and women where freedom actually exists you wouldn’t have to constantly remind a population of such. But in a society of a fictitious false sense of freedom you must convince the slaves constantly to not focus on their own internal suffering or misery because once they do they’ll naturally rebel overtime to the point of insurrection.
The greater the crafted mental lie and deception the more people will believe, maintaining belief in people is all that matters, not so much whether something is true or not.
