I was reading an interesting article the other day that was explaining how the failure of Russian communism had no relation any failure of socialism since they weren’t socialists.
The fact that they weren’t socialists was predicated on the fact that the Bolsheviks deposed the socialist regime in the October revolution.
Can anyone direct me to a good history of the russian revolution(s)?
The precursor of the petrograd Soviet was formed by the Mensheviks in 1915 (from Wikipedia). Were the Mensheviks the real “socialists”? I kind of think so but Wikipedia is a bit iffy on this.
any comments and information are welcomed.
