The Resistance Begins

I was responding to Mags’ post where she posted an Insta reel about two pedophiles in Georgia, USA with the comment, “The Biden era.” I don’t see what any of that has to do with immigrants in Europe.

She seems to think it does, but is incapable of saying what the connection is.

Who is condoning it? Is there a mainstream figure that has said mass rape is OK as long as the people doing it are from Pakistan?

I’m also under the impression that the data around this is poor. Much is made of high-profile cases, but the statistics do not show a rate of increase equal to the rate of increase of immigrant populations, and all effects seem to either disappear or reverse when you control for the age, sex, and income (i.e. low-income young men are responsible for a disproportionate amount of rape, and immigrant populations can be disproportionately young, male, and/or low-income).

Russia ran misinformation campaigns around Brexit and in virtually every election since then, they support far-right extremist parties across the continent, they have successfully broken NATO and divided Europe from the US. Not to mention the COLD FUCKING WAR.

I have to assume you’re talking about like 3 cases of each, and not about any sort of actual trend.

There is an expanse of middle ground between prohibiting expressions of support for literal Nazism and Russia’s suppression of sleep.

The bigger threat to speech in most of Europe (which we also have in the US) is using defamation lawsuits to discourage criticism. For example, Trump sued E. Jean Carroll for defamation after she said he raped her (she won), he sued ABC News for doing the same thing (ABC settled after Trump won the election, a great sign for press freedom in the US), and he’s still suing the Pulitzer Prize board for awarding a Pulitzer Prize to refusing to retract a prize awarded for coverage of his connections to Russia.

Tommy Robinson claimed a Syrian assault victim deserved what he got, and lied to support that claim saying pictures of cancer patients we pictures of people beat up by the victim. He lost a libel claim and was enjoined from making the claim again, and then he made a movie about it and showed it in Trafalgar Square.

Tommy Robinson is a fucking lowlife bro.

  1. More than 20 people have been convicted in that case
  2. It is an extreme outlier.
  3. It’s used as a way to demonize immigrants, but the police didn’t hold back to protect immigrants, they held back to protect their British clients (who most likely included members of the police).

Investigations into this and similar incidents found that the majority of offenders are white. The press loves salacious cases because they sell, and political actors highlight them and tie them to minority groups, but the trends show that there is no spike in sexual assault, and that immigrants are not particularly responsible for the assaults that do occur. Moreover, people are regularly convicted of these crimes, and when they’re convicted they go to jail.

The narrative that migrant gangs are roaming the streets raping white women is a deliberate campaign (supported in part by Russian propaganda).

A very slick post with no evidence. I may be wrong about things too, I have read many stories of rapes and of girls being arrested for being raped, the perpetrators go free. Neither of us seems to have hard evidence. Here is where you are definitely wrong; Nine arrests per day for breaking speech laws. Look up the law. In Germany a dozen arrest teams roam the country arresting people for online speech. If a post can cause discomfort it is illegal. You failed to address the islamic takeover of Britain. Look at the video and at pictures of policemen kneeling in mosques. Londons mayor says he wants more immigrants, because islam is diversity. Maybe Robinson is a scumbag but he is fighting against a horrific enemy. I would c certainly prefer to live under Russia than under Islam. But Russia never threatened to set foot in the West. They semi-managed some communist parties.

NATO promised Russia that if they would agree to the unification of Germany they would not expand eastward. The ink wasn’t even dry and NATO started expanding eastward. After their henchmen started murdering Russian speakers in Ukraine the Russians finally decided to react. NATO broke itself up. That people in the west manage to be ignorant of this, somehow see nato as a good thing, is astonishing evidence of its propaganda powers.

“Far right extremist” is a label for anti-islamic, anti totalitarian. They’re not against immigrants from Poland. They are against antidemocratic EU legislation ruining economies. They’re genuine peoples parties supported by people whose cities have gone to shit over the EU and mass immigration. I notice you don’t even dare to mention islam, and that is indeed safest. But you probably realize in private that it is an expansionist and very oppressive ideology which you are luckily safe from in the US. You dont want to get your hands dirty on the subject, like everyone on this site. For me this is too late, I live in a nightmare because of it.

As for Trump, I definitely like him less than I used to and I dislike Musks actions. But if you think that a couple of lawsuits against books and films about him personally amounts to a restriction of freedom of speech you are living in a fairy tale bubble. I literally heard Hillary say to Kamala that they were going to curb the first amendment over the Joe Rogan podcast which turned out so bad for them. That is a whole other level, actual destruction of the foundation of the country. And that kind of thing is what Vance spoke to in Munich. Starmer still has the nerve to praise freedom of speech in his country…

Islam is fundamentally opposed to freedom for the individual. In it, people are slaves to god, and unbelievers should be tortured, as one of the muslims who posts here clearly wrote. In Sweden, the country which was first with its mass immigration from islamic countries, many cities have several no go zones and women are advised not to go outside alone. if you think that is all Russian propaganda you are truly deluded. I can go on and on but these points are not welcome here anyway. I curse the day I started responding to Ollies nazi posts online and became addicted to this forum thing.

The Social Security Administration is cutting 7,000 jobs and closing half of its regional offices. It’s no coincidence that Elon Musk called Social Security a “ponzi scheme.” They’re gutting the program to make room for more billionaire tax cuts. It’s time to speak up.

People are speaking up, Ive never seen such energetic resistance in the US in my life. They seem joyful about it too, unlike in Trumps first term, where everybody was crying. It is more rational now. I wonder if it can accomplish anything. I have come back from my pure pro Trump stance, which originated in my dread over Nato’s actions in Ukraine. It’s become clear that the enemy of my enemy isnt necessarily my friend. Musks actions are destructive, that is clear.

Imagine this, Chomsky agrees with Trump, that Nato started, instigated this war.

You’re all intelligent people but Nato has still brainwashed you about Russia.

Jesus the comments… Nato has truly done a thorough job. It is such advanced evil.

I actually considered killing myself when I learned what they were doing in 2014, it felt like a spirit of pure malice had taken hold of the continent. Nato control every major political party - there is one in the NL that is independent - and every major news outlet here and nearly everyone fell for their deception. Society was saner when it was divided up into different ideologies, with the sects of Protestantism, Socialism, Liberalism being actually different and each having their own interpretations of world events - it wasn’t a monolith of lies.

It would have been better for me to be ignorant, not know the nature of Nato. Ignorance truly must be bliss. A bubble.

This should please you then:

  • Ukraine aid: The United States is temporarily suspending all military aid to Ukraine, according to a senior administration official, who said the aid would not resume until President Trump determined that Ukraine had demonstrated a commitment to peace negotiations with Russia. The order takes effect immediately and affects more than $1 billion in arms and ammunition in the pipeline and on order. Mr. Trump’s directive also halts hundreds of millions of dollars in aid that Kyiv can use only to buy new military hardware directly from U.S. defense companies. The decision comes amid the fallout of a heated Oval Office meeting on Friday between Mr. Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine. Read more>

What about Russia? Will Russia have free reign to attack Ukraine at will, with said country having access to a limited arsenal?

No. At this point, Russia apparently has Trump’ s unconditional support. Trump and Vance seemed to be acting on Putin’s behalf in Friday’s oval office confrontation with Zelensky.

You really think any of this pleases me? How cynical. I wish this whole thing had been averted. I think I made that abundantly clear.

My point, after the fact, is that Nato engineered this conflict for some seemingly genocidal reason. They’ve been pushing for it for decades. I know it doesn’t help anyone to realize this now, it is too late, it should have been realized at the latest in '22 when Putin was prepared to make peace in Turkey but the deal was blocked by Johnson and Zelensky was found very eager to fight.

Zelensky tried for hard guarantees the US is in no position to give unless it is willing to get directly involved. Now, after Johnson pushed for the war to continue and Russia has gained terrain, Ukraine is simply holding very bad cards and Vance crudely pointed this out. I dont like Vance. But Zelensky has been coached during these years to expect unlimited support from the West and demanded that Trump gave some kind of guarantee that is simply not available anymore.

Johnson gave Ukraine away by preventing peace.

By the way if Trump was working for Putin he could probably have Musk disable Ukraines access to Starlink and render them completely helpless.

I took you for someone in the UK who aligns with Europe. Now you sound like someone in the US that is on Social Security.

I have actually sat through the process of someone getting on Social Security. It is a Ponzi scheme. They train you on what language to use so that you will qualify. They make money from the process.

I am in favor of only making Social Security for those who genuinely need it, and not for the wealthy (in time, talent, and resources) who can do without it.

But I am for encouraging individuals to save their benefits towards their own accounts that they can access, that the government cannot touch.

The genocide of whom? What is your evidence?

From the other thread:

Make it make sense.

We live in a rotten world, stat, and this thread isn’t about Europe, so… go complain elsewhere on something other than this non-issue, which you seem to like to do a lot.

.

That is all true… I have posted the full information regarding the cases here, so am surprised that Carleas hasn’t read it.

Oh yea, he’s too busy picking up on small irrelevant grievances, isn’t he. :smirk:

My bad. We agree on that, at least.

I see evidence of ethnic cleansing with Putin and the kidnapping and brainwashing of Ukrainian children. I don’t see it on the NATO side. Got evidence?

At this point, Trump is denying any military support to Ukraine. So whether planned or not, Trump got what he wanted which is to end US involvement in the conflict consistent with his “America first” policy he ran on. We’ll see what happens to Starlink support to Ukraine. That could be used as another bargaining chip. Look for it. What could be more cynical than Geopolitics? What is the karmic condition of those who deal with thousands of souls like pawns in their 4d chess game?

.

My thoughts exactly…

Don’t those children’s families identify as Russian though, which is why they were taken to Russia… by the bus-loads.

I agree that neither of us has hard evidence. And let’s be clear: “many stories” are not evidence. Germany has a population of more than 83 million, and about 13 million of them are foreign born. Look through that many lives, and you can find many terrible stories. The stories are not a random sample, they’re picked for sensationalism, and pushed online to advance political agendas.

Stories are not representative and don’t support conclusions about immigrants and crime.

And in the absence of evidence, you should stop spreading the idea that immigrants are particularly criminal or pose a particular threat.

I found a couple maps that might help us: Two maps of Germany, one of the percent of non-migrant population by state (higher/darker = fewer immigrants) [1], and the other of crime per population by district (higher/darker = more crime)[2]:

I don’t think this is particularly strong evidence, but I don’t see a clear pattern here. Should there be?

One response is that this is all non-migrants, and a good part of those are other Europeans. Another is that a lot of other factors affect crime (e.g. wealth, density), so maybe those effects are just swamping the data.

But in East Germany, where there are very few migrants, there is still a ton of crime. It seems to undermine the idea that if crime is what we’re most concerned about, we should be focusing on immigration.

Source? I don’t doubt they’re prosecuting speech, but I can’t find recent stats. Closest I got was data for all hate crimes from 2023, which was 17,007 (note that these are all recorded crimes, not necessarily prosecuted)
9\times365=3285
3285\div17007\approx19.3\%
Could nearly 1/5th of hate crimes based only on speech? It’s possible, but seems high. And the proportion would have to be higher if we’re actually talking about arrests.

The UK has a population of ~68 million, ~57 million in England, and ~10 million in London. About 6.5% are Muslim (6.7% in England, 15% in London). I would be shocked if there weren’t Muslim police officers.

As for London’s Mayor, I can’t find him saying that, though I did find an article about a fake op-ed being spread on social media.

No, he isn’t. He’s a racist who lies to support his racism. He spreads false stories, and interferes in the actual criminal prosecutions he claim to be fighting for.

  1. We are not faced with a choice between Islam and Russia, we can keep being Western Liberal Democracy.
  2. Russia is pushing the idea that we have to choose between Islam and Russia because it wants us to choose Russia over Western Liberal Democracy.
  3. Russia has assassinated people in the UK, Germany, Austria, Turkey, and Ukraine. They’ve also been running misinformation campaigns against the west for decades.
  4. On the topic of assassination, if you are concerned about German censorship, you should be very, very concerned about Russia.

There was no ink, because there is no agreement that says this. It was explicitly rejected by NATO members, and is now a Russian talking point to justify their invasion of the Ukraine.

Not without a huge misinformation campaign from Russia.

They’re misinformed people who live in cities gutted by the death of manufacturing, and they’ve been manipulated to blame immigrants who had fuck all to do with it.

Extremist Islam is bad, but it isn’t nearly the biggest threat to the West right now. It’s a big threat to Israel, and to the people of lots of majority Muslim countries in the Middle East. But even in the Middle East it often isn’t a majority position, it’s a powerful minority funded by oil wealth whose interests are served by keeping people away from ideas like equality and redistribution.

I think suing newspapers reporting truthfully about a political candidate is a bigger threat to the freedom of speech than fining racists who posting lies online about their Muslim neighbors, yes.

I think major news publications settling suits they would definitely win because they’re afraid of the retribution of the President of the United States is a much larger threat to free speech than Germany making Nazism illegal.

No you didn’t, and you can’t provide a link to prove me wrong.

So is Christianity, but most Christians in the West happily ignore their scripture in favor of freedom for the individual. So do most Muslims in the West.

I had family who lived in Russia for many years. They loved it there. My wife visited them in 2016. They left shortly after because it wasn’t safe any more; a close friend of theirs who didn’t leave was later arrested and imprisoned for over a decade. They did not work in politics or journalism or government, they were elementary school teachers. Through them I have a friend whose parents had to flee because Russia started disappearing journalists. My friend was told, while living in the West, to stop speaking out against what was happening in Russia because it wasn’t safe. They were family friends of Navalny, who was later assassinated by Russia (after failing the first time).

They aren’t my only source about what’s going on in Russia, they left before Russia invaded Ukraine. But their experiences corroborate my other sources, they saw the crackdown begin, they saw the invasion coming.

I also live in DC, so I can corroborate what’s reported about a fair amount of US political news (Pizzagate, January 6th, George Floyd Protests). Trump often lies about life in DC. He lies about how dangerous or dirty it is. Republicans have lied about DC for a long time, because casting DC as embodying Everything That’s Wrong With America supports their small-government platform with their rural base. I know they’re lies, because I live here, but I’ve met enough people who believe them that I know they’re effective.

I don’t deny that brainwashing is happening, it’s happening much more in Russia’s favor; watching the disillusionment happening in Trump circles right now is a grim silver lining to the collapse of the Western alliance.

Who is “they”?

What percent of Social Security spending do you think is going to the wealthy who can do without it?

Link or it didn’t happen.

Look, I realize I’m taking the fall of my government out on you, which is a bit unfair and I apologize.

But also my government is falling because people with no epistemic hygiene or ability to reason, swallowed misinformation and rhetoric whole.

And so when someone who I know to be capable of reason, someone who should know better, comes here to repeat that rhetoric, and refuses to engage more deeply about their beliefs than linking to another TikTok, yeah I get a bit triggered.

You can do better, and you don’t, and there’s too much of that going around. Shame on the lot of you.

Do they? How could we find out?

If the 20,000 Ukrainian children identified as Russians, why were they forcibly separated from their families, transported to Russia, given new names, re- assigned to Russian families and re-indoctrinated? It doesn’t make sense. That’s a well-known ethnic cleansing technique that violates international law.

I don’t know, man. Look into it.

The children can only identify what they see in their parents’ as belonging to Russia. They can not even identify with the former Soviet Union, much less that at one time they belonged to Hungary, and the Russians waged war on Hungary, to reclaim land colonized by the Ottomans.

That is the children’s parents not even considering the lineages of great grandfathers, who could ‘not even read.

The ‘kids’ had so called Russian identity as conveniently could be transmitted by bed time stories handed down, Every thing and most things after that fact(s) is simply like here say.

The same with other bordering lines of demarcation out there, where these people were considered outliers, whose fate rested in authority, at the time, the authority of god(GOD)

Smoke and mirrors through and through. But what has it anything to do with the EU?

As far back or recently, Peter the First thought such link to be important enough to the time
Alexander I came to the throne, leading to the kids’ confusion about their real identity, and that leading to Rasputin’s mystical leverage over how the NWO was going to manage the conceptual game of de-colonialism.

That’s the underpinnings of the atttmpt to reform and restructure CAPITAL. Serfdom was a foresadowing concern of emancipation.

Everyone is always with the kid’ assertion that’s hidden under transcended-reflective-transparent clothes.

That ‘test’ is beyond any link too any responsible authority who may have like a pilot, could not commit on moral principles, just like the brothers could by virtue of a superlative communication of the soulful, supernatural sort.- this out!?!

That just means they’re above the SSI means test that doesn’t mean they can survive without Social Security disability income.
