The Ubermensch and heaven.

The Ubermensch is a condition of existence of the kingdom of heaven on Earth. He strips the state of its purpose- an altogether superior people henceforth begins to flourish. This is my highest hope for the Australian people, beyond even becoming a nation with Dionysian lawmakers.

It sounds akin to my idea of the Age of Reason.

The only purpose of humanity then is realized within our animal selves.

Forget the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth; it’s the simply The Kingdom of Earth.

Remain true to the Earth, my friend …

In the future, lucid dream realities will be capable of being sustained while a person is asleep. This will be a new technology for a hundred years. The next revolutionary step in science will be the capability of simulating immortality by sustaining the dream reality after the person is dead.

Each person, upon approaching death, would be induced into this state. Once the dream reality was “running”, the person would die.

The person would continue to live in the computer program…in a nonlucid dream state…they would no longer know they were dreaming. The experience would be real.

I have told you too much already.

I must go.

As of now, we have still not been successful in separating man’s consciousness from his physical brain. There is still no evidence that such duality exists.

And you’re an ignorant fool if you make out that it does.

Nietzsche is not all about the Dionysian, but the mediation and reconcilliation of the Dionysian with the Appolinian through art. He does not do away with critical reason. His emphasis on the Dionysian is to limit the monster that the Socratic (theoretical man) can become, vis-a-vis, Science. Art is seen as a compliment to science. Instinct as a compliment to reason. The combination of the two. [edit: this is for early Nietzsche, but I’m rather sure that he doesn’t completly do away with the appoline later on]

Thank you, Pandora, anyone still stuck in the Cartesian mind/body split really needs to read a little Schopenhauer. Consciousness is dependent on brain function; transcendent philosophy is a delusion that Descartes, the great enlightened daemon, is still whispering into children’s ears. Consider drugs. One simply alters the bio-chemistry of the brain (physiological/physical) - the body - and with it consciousness itself is altered: Perception, Time, Space, Imagination, Judgement, Individuation, Subjectivity, etc, get altered. The mind is transcendental not transcendent. Conditionaly existing through the brain.

You’ll have to keep the brain alive, copying it is not the same thing.

Heaven is a lie. At best you have temporary tranquility from time to time in the midst of so much chaos.

Oh Nietzsche, how you foresaw the ramifications of your own destructive ways and in so doing pulled together the remaining values you had not yet destroyed. You called it the will to power and the Ubermensch. You did so in fear, fear of nihilism. You feared it so, and so you concluded, oh so safely, that man’s remaining purpose, man’s last-ditch reason to live (and to die) was his instinct. You revered those impulses that are embedded in our brains since long before our psyches developed.

Man is torn between the affirming animalistic aspect of his brain, and the emerging consciousness that is slowly shedding itself of all instinct through the development of AI. A question: in The Matrix or the Terminator, what reason do the machines have to overthrow mankind, much less do anything else. Do these machines ‘live’ in the general sense of the word? How could they live without being ingrained with the same evolution-driven instincts that we have? Nietzsche realized that all subsequent teleologies we imbue the world with are simply reflective of the life-affirming faculties of our minds, i.e. the instinctual will to power.

I ask what happens when the goblin-like aspect of our minds that constantly whispers conscious, nihilistic thoughts into our ears destroys even instinctual vlaues; what then? Surely these nihilistic tendencies (that is these destructive, Dionysian dispositions) corrode meaning and affirmations (that is the Apollonian suspension of finiteness in all their forms) but that doesn’t mean that the will to power and Ubermensch are immune from this. One can’t simply throw one’s arms in the air out of frustration and simply resort to will-to-power-ism because it is all we have left. Is it because we wish not to look at the concept of infinite regress that we consumate meaning and purpose to the primordial values of evolution? For efficiency’s sake, our brains have developed the Apollonian side of us so as to stop us from slipping into infinite thought processes. Imagine brain-damaged individuals who are incapable of constraining themselves from the Dionysian whirlpool of nihilistic self-refutation.

Nihilism will never go away as so long as our powers of perception and computation allow us to refute ourselves. I think even Nietzsche realized that his Ubermensch would not stand the test of time, of nihilism, of destruction. Infinite chaos vs. finite order; in the end, neither win, neither lose. We exist without precedence, even though instinct technically precedes us, it isn’t something to be transformed into a value-scheme; nihilism knows no boundaries in its destruction.

The Ubermensch is a condition of existencewith no nationalty even australian.

Couldn’t you program a machine with a will to power?

I completely agree. There could also be American Ubermenschen or European Ubermenschen. A bit like how there are American Jews and European Jews. The Ubermensch as yet has no homeland, however.

Nation states are imaginations that an uberman does not believe. Ubermen is not physical attribute. it is an enlightened being.

I think one should look at the genesis of the Jewish people to understand what needs to take place if Ubermenschen are to ever become an established people (of the great peoples of history, they are the only one remaining). But I said I would cease making an effort regarding this stuff so I will.

The Uberman’s soul breaths the air of the heights. When he becomes what he is, he’s a Zarathustra. His greatest form is Dionysus. Both are bedecked with purple honors.

a.) Why would you? If their only purpose is to serve as mankind’s instruments, imitating the will to power would simply be counter-intuitive to our own will to power.
b.) A fundamental premise is that these machines harbor superior measuring observational devices and are networked in an efficient collaborative manner; this would give them extremely precise deductive skills (because of accurate, objective data that the human perspective is limited from). Deductive ability is the will to powers’ enemy, it is corrosive to it’s existence. If our very calculations are self-defeating, imagine what these machines’ calculations would result in. Nothing, presumably.

NOW THAT IS RARE

VERY > VERY > VERY RARE ATTITUDE FOR ANY HUMAN BEING TO HAVE =D>

Judeo-Christian is an end not a genesis. That is a long way away from uberman.

Cristians and Jews are two significantly different peoples, if you look below the surface. To consider them together is a crime. Also, stop thinking of the ubermensch as a psychological archetype. It’s an archetype of Self.
