Looking for someone who loves a good mystery. Over the course of a year I have been trying to decode this manuscript and its mysteries. It was written in the 13th century and nobody has been able to decode it. The language is at this point absolutely unknown to everyone. Many brilliant minds have been unable to expose its 300 page mystery. Not only is the language unknown but there are several pictures of plants unknown. Is there someone out there who would like to go on a mystical safari with me and the Voynich? I think I may have accessed an understanding of it, a translation. I am ready to reveal its mystery. Anyone want to join me?
Yeah…
Go ahead and post your translation if you have one.
here is what I discovered. This manuscript is not a language text but a nautical chart for ocean sailing vessles. Used are symbols as landmarks to identify locations where there is hidden ports as well as valuables left behind for later pick up. looking closely at the manuscript I noticed mermaids. they were very hard to see until looking at the pictures multiple times. the star charts also a navigational chart for the sea. the artist certainly was no Picasso but he understood what it meant as he disguised what to us would seem unknown plant species however would you leave behind a map of what treasures you have hidden for someone else to find if you intended to go back for them? The Voynich Manuscript is in fact a Pirates map.
Right. Over 200 pages of raw text to describe a pirate map. In reality, the Voynich is a 17th century Cathar text- the only surviving Cathar text. All others were burnt. This one was encrypted in order to prevent that from happening to it. The Symbols mostly relate to Isis, and the plants form different shapes that have to do with Isis. The text itself is thought to describe a Cathar ritual called Endura, what we would call euthanasia, which was profane at the time.
Right…and the pirates of the era only looted one location?! You see, the beauty of the Voynich is that we know it came to the King in the early 1400’s. so your idea is wrong. ok the beauty is you dont know. and to find the truth is to look at the obvious for an understanding, otherwise you run the risk of jumping on board the UFO that brought the Voynich here from another planet. In this case at a time where the pirates ruled the seas and were for the most part illiterate and hired scribes to write for them, drawing naked maidens in a tub, surrounded by a few mermaids in an art form that left plenty to be desired tells me everything I need to know about the Voynich and its authors. I am not asking for you to jump up on my wagon, merely asking you to look into it as it is completely logical as well as rational that a king of sorts had been in the company of pirates and most likely possessed some loot! ayy me partner!
I’m a fan of this mystery too.
Have you read The Voynich Manuscript: The Unsolved Riddle of an Extraordinary Book Which has Defied Interpretation for Centuries?
I lean towards the mad-man theory.
I love OOOPArt!
I recently read about a possible solution. Here’s the article on Slashdot with a couple links. The person who thinks she solved it thinks it might be DaVinci’s. Her solution is a simple scramble, with letters either very ornate or intentionally replaced by symbols. Apparently it was a common way to encrypt things used by scientists at the time to protect their work.
I am still working on this mystery as so many have. I have come to believe that the images of “fauna” are actually microscopic artist renderings. Perhaps the language is that of microbiology, on adapting agriculture and combating bacteria and the like in plant modification. A numerical language discussing scientific slides. Perhaps spelling mathematical equations or formulas. The pregnant ladies signifying fertility, time zones, farmers almanac.
