First, get your head right with God & know you’re loved despite your crap, good or bad. It ripples out from there. What you can do is what you can do, and what you can do is enough. He’ll multiply it. Like loaves & … caramel apples.
People will always let you down. Don’t look at them. Look at Him. And don’t turn away.
Tacking this on to the OP & my earliest replies to it:
The fact that prophets interact with a future no one else can access and/or a past beyond anyone’s reach— The one implies the other. That interaction does not change anything. It was always part of the whole thing of (sometimes) mixed moments. The same thing would be true if the interaction was not mere observation. Thoughts are actions. Observation is action, so it is interaction. Nothing was changed but free will is not forfeited. The same is true when you’re only experiencing now—in a way, moment previous to now & moment after now are interlocking (“you” can hypothetically unzip). And everywhere you go, whether in spacetime, there it is now, even if more than one now is there. In other words it is now even if you are experiencing two or more moments at once (they got zipped together)—accessing more spacetime than usual. But it’s all just now (interlocking as one puzzle). When two moments are blended (eternally) together and you take one element that is common to both moments, you can ask “In what moment does that element originate?” The solution is the archmoment that is God. Another question you could ask if you blend two minds’ experiences together is, “Who was there first?“ The answer is we are both/all ALWAYS there in God’s original mind. We are co-creators of the completed work that is alive because in him we live and move and have our being. He doesn’t create more of himself when he makes us — all of this always was/is/will be in Him (His Mind). As a whole. Matter/energy is only part of the whole. He is complete, but he is alive. We can interact despite mind not reducing to matter/energy, and for the same reason, God (archmoment) can interact in moments. That we haven’t explained it doesn’t mean it is impossible. We are living proof.
Overarching time (main unit) contains all subunits (moments, instances) but is still empirical. Mesh with Kant on how God (& other beings when not subject to time) thinks. (See Kant.)
So the “problem” of divine hiddenness is that we don’t seek, or we don’t know where to start seeking because some a$$hat tells you some bullcrap & you believe it. Think fo yoself!
Matthew 23:13 (BBE) But a curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! because you are shutting the kingdom of heaven against men: for you do not go in yourselves, and those who are going in, you keep back.
