Starting on the outline. Am I the only one doing this? ![]()
No. I will either get stand alone thoughts from the text from you, or I read nothing.
I mean, yes.
I mean yes unless someone else than you or I is.
I meant causation is multi-dimensional, but what we call time is zero-dimensional.
What do you and others call time exactly?
I’ve already explained that in this thread.
This is where I’m at so far…it will change as I continue to work on it, but I’m taking a break:
“What changes and what stays the same when we think about differences in quality/relation CONTENT of a moment/position in time?”
Which content is noteworthy? Isn’t that subjective?
That reminds me of an old quote whose origin I don’t remember (remembered) about not missing the essential moment. ![]()
It’s good though, so far you managed to juxtapose it in a way that gave another angle for understanding the article, for me at least.
I started trying to dissect it with my blunt little tools:
Might be something interesting, might not. Mostly raw brainfarts I’ll warn in advance.
I’m gonna hold off on reading yours, but I love that you’re doing it page by page. I can’t wait until you get to 472.
Okay.
Just so I do not mistake anything here, are you able to write or copy and paste the same words again? Or, is this too hard?
Why would you say that? If you’re not gonna contribute to the thread, please don’t reply.
Rage muting this thread.
What?
Why would I contribute when you do not inform the readers how you are defining the word time, and even especially after you referred to how you and others here define it.
you expect readers to go through 70 or so posts to find some definition, which may or may not even exist.
you clearly do not have a well defined definition for the word ‘time’ here.
Interact with the OP, or my most recent replies, or the reply by Niall you were actually replying to, or offer your own definition…or bye bye.
p.s. It’s kinda hilarious McTaggart keeps saying it is indefinable whilst setting down REQUIREMENTS for accounting for stuff like succession, direction, and permanence.
If you want to go so-called “bye bye” then okay.
People say things like, “it is indefinable”, when they do not know what they are ‘trying to’ pretend to know.
…so what’s your definition of time, thread gracer?
