The word ‘time’ refers to the measuring of the duration between perceived events.
Merely perceived? Between two or more events? What if the event is just a tree falling in the forest and the perceiver is omnitemporal?
Are you asking a question here?
If yes, then what is ‘it’ exactly?
Until then I use the word ‘perceived’ because in Reality there is only One event happening only. And, any perceived ‘events’ are just that exactly. They are ‘perceived’ only.
Again, you write a statement, but put a question mark at the end of it.
Are you asking a question here, then what is ‘it’ exactly?
What about it?
And what does ‘omnitemporal’ mean or refer to, to you, exactly?
This is cool:
Switch the word atemporal with omnitemporal (instantaneous: at every time t, the distance between times t defined by the fastest possible rate of causal influence).
…and Who is perceiving the One event, according to you?
Do I need to read Hegel’s dialectic?
Doesn’t matter, I don’t have a year to spare. Found some reference regarding the “Absolute idea”:
My bot’s take on it: LLM output with no further context provided - #688 by niallm
The Mind, Itself. Or, some refer to It as the S.A.G.E., or the Self, Spirit, Allah, God, or Enlightenment. Some call It the Higher Power.
This One observes the One Natural Evolve event in creation. Whereas, human beings, via the brain perceive and “see” many different events, because this is the only way the brain can makes sense of the One Universe, which it has found itself within.
I started to think of “observe” as applying to that which is beyond direct/inner perception after reading Brentano.
‘Observing’ takes place from what is invisible to the human eye. So, it could be said and argued that it applies to ‘that’ which is beyond ‘direct’ perception, but it does occur at the innermost of things. Or, ‘at the very ‘heart’ or ‘centre’ of things’, as some might say.
And, because absolutely everything is relative to the ‘observer’, where things are being observed from will mean if one is looking from a subjective viewpoint, or in other words a human being perspective, or from an objective viewpoint, or in other words God’s (for lack of a more agreed upon word) perspective.
See, ‘one’ can choose to ‘look from’ and ‘observe’ from a narrowed or closed viewpoint and perspective, and thus not ‘observe’ and ‘see’ that much at all really, or ‘one’ can choose to ‘look from’ and ‘observe’ from the Truly open viewpoint and perspective, and so ‘observe’ and ‘see’ all really.
From the latter perspective, what is ‘observed’ and ‘seen’ is that there is only One event happening and occurring. This event is in a constant state of eternal change, which, by another word, means it is always evolving. This constant evolutionary change can be ‘broken down’, conceptually, and the duration between the perceived different events is what the word ‘time’ is sometimes or generally referred to.
There’s seeing things from every time t, and then there’s seeing people as ends that the One(s) are constantly demonstrating (it is an unfolding/revelation, not an evolving) their mutually entailing endness to (and preferably with).
You read Brentano?
You’ve achieved a new level of respect in my chain.
no, I don’t just casually read him. I was forced to read him for my B.A. However, I really liked what he said about unity of consciousness… and a lot of my Venn diagram stuff was confirmed by the latter (unassigned… OK fine I may have read him) chapters of the book that I read (psychology from an empirical standpoint).
Oh shit I didn’t know they assigned him.
Huh.
He’s like my sworn enemy but he’s a pretty essencial crossroad to understand modern anything.
OK, you wanna take this red herring into another thread and explain this sworn enemy part?
I do not understand.
That was rude, Ichthus. This is why I don’t talk about things with people.
‘one’ can choose to ‘look from’ and ‘observe’ from a narrowed or closed viewpoint and perspective, and thus not ‘observe’ and ‘see’ that much at all really, or ‘one’ can choose to ‘look from’ and ‘observe’ from the Truly open viewpoint and perspective, and so ‘observe’ and ‘see’ all really.
You cannot choose to see more than one time t (that is not in the power of a being subject to time—it is given to them, or a delusion is given to them) but you can choose to see the value of people through God‘s eyes (and without this, the knowledge of every time t is emptiness). In neither case will you see as God sees, but at least in the latter case, you will not keep missing the point.
In other words:
There’s seeing things from every time t, and then there’s seeing people as ends that the One(s) are constantly demonstrating (it is an unfolding/revelation, not an evolving) their mutually entailing endness to (and preferably with).
Don’t roll your eyes at me.
If that is what you see, then okay.
