All done, I think.
Let me know once you’re finished. I see a lot of questions that may or may not be answered or changed by the time you’ve fully processed it.
There’s no point in me finishing it. I might be being lazy, not sure. Now I am reading your outline (in manageable chunks), it’s way more interesting.
C Series is not temporal and involves no change or direction (not even both directions, forward/backward in time), only order. Order does not imply change, just like the order of the letters of the alphabet does not imply change. Not everything that has order may be an event. Only after change and time come in (A Series) do the relations of the C Series form/become a temporal B Series (refer to my note on 464–perhaps B, A, and C are mutually entailing, rather than B emerging?). C Series determines order, but not direction. It has no earlier/later…it is still observed even if we say the alphabet backwards (once A Series comes in). Unstated: What this means is that we can progress to C Series and away from C Series, or be stuck at a certain level of development of C Series… without fast forwarding or going backwards in time or being stuck in the present moment.
The underlying process is triadic and eternal by its very nature. It is not subject to time, it is what generates time. Order is an inherent part of the process, and all matter seeks order, but that does not mean outcomes are ordered. Emergent order is just that, and that’s why the predicting the future is a many-pronged problem. Maybe the C Series contains all possible futures, as opposed to a single predetermined one?
All times t are and have always been “full” (were never “empty”). From that omnitemporal standpoint there is no unfulfilled potential—but also, it is never exhausted.
I don’t know how else to tell you that.
I don’t know how else to try to understand it. The “all possible futures” sits in my head easier (as pure potential) than no unfufilled potential, but when eternity is considered, I suppose there isn’t. It’s a lot of infinity to expose the noggin to.
“All possible futures” is limited by the fact that the uncreated meaning/teleology/quality/value (message) isn’t evolving—has never & will never change—is demonstrated in time (essence is not being without existence) rather than emerging from matter/mechanism. Eternal life does not exist apart from it because… it’s it.
medium △ method △ message
being △ existence △ essence
Perhaps God always has a choice between all possible futures? I’m sure God can choose to do whatever He likes. Dunno.
In every time t, God is active.
We are co-creating with him in any time t we are choosing.
But see previous.
Nice. Especially medium, method, message, I can defo use that, without a doubt.
How do you plan to use it?
It could help in understanding social networks, or even the internet as a whole. But it also has an obvious spiritual aspect. It’s also nicely recursive, that is something that can draw spirals, very cool.
Is it the first you ever heard it? I have heard “the meaning is in the message” (replaced with massage…which is a finessing method)…like how you say/communicate encodes the meaning/message (method is a force indicator…could be cammo). From two different profs, in two different semesters.
I would say the meaning is in the medium, the message is an expression of that meaning.
Weyl… could say there is no medium or method without a message, too.
Well no, and if you could it wouldn’t work.
What message are you sending by saying that, though?
That it seems to work? ![]()
message=meaning
Unless you’re talking about a message encoding meaning.
