Too Big To Fail

I think we got screwed. Again we sent the message, behave in any way you want and we will fix it for you. Daddy and Mommy will fix it. There still are no rules to prevent the same thing from happening. The canadians say they didn’t have this problem.

What’s this thread about, then?

I am trying to learn what really happened with the banks. I am checking on my bullshit detector to see if it is paranoid. I don’t want to be paranoid.

The banks? Still not sure I’m afraid, turts.

Tell me more rets

hump-------I thought you would show that broad again. Come on hump what do you think, not wikipedia.

The banks and corporations are running this country sociopathically, turtle. So, yes … we’re screwed.

he wanted to know what you were talking about. you couldn’t explain it. i could. it doesn’t matter what I think, I merely wanted to clarify to him what you were talking about.

OH. Cheers. #-o

I’ve decided i’m not that interested in this issue, carry on…

jonquil you are my soul mate.

Global financial disaster? What exactly would the dire consequences be? Please help me out. I am a dumb shit.

This is a disaster engineered by elite sociopaths in order to funnel huge amounts of money out of people’s bank accounts, and out of countries’ treasuries, in order to make themselves rich and powerful. It is designed to break the back of organized labor and turn people into feudal corporate serfs and wage slaves. The result is social darwinism, dystopian cities and regions where people are attempting to survive in a very mean world. Off the radar to some extent, due to the way the media is owned and manipulated, are those millions of poor souls who are exploited for sex trafficking, organ sales, baby selling, drug production and distribution, pornography, sweatshops, migrant and farm labor, and low wage service sector jobs.

A few sane countries have attempted to stem this problem, but they are few. The big economic and corporate superpowers are engineering the dystopias and exploiting the poor regions of the world with those evil free trade agreements and military aggression. I wonder how many people on this board, for example, know the effects of China’s imperial colonialism in Tibet and Africa, not just the effects of corporate America’s ventures in places here and around the world where businesses have uninhibited power to use and destroy people and the environment for profit. Particularly disturbing are the encroachments of GM seeds and farming into Asian and other regions where the seeds which carry an obsolescence factor drive poor farmers out of business. Those farms are in the control of corporations now, and the results are horrendous for the environment, the balance of nature, and human health.

And I would say that disinterest means ignorance on a level that corporate America is happy to foster.

jonquil if you were to set up a religion I’d follow you.

10/10

Except I think they are psychopaths rather than sociopaths but nobody ever listens to me on these matters

I am ready to join. JONQUIL for god.

In fiction and film, they’re psychopaths. In real life, they’re called sociopaths. I don’t see a real difference either.

jonquil thinks everyone is god. It’s not a competition or an election. I love all of you. Love love love, and peace for this holiday season and all time.

too big to fail-----TBTF

this seems to be something that will be with us in the future.
what are the advantages to having a bank designated TBTF.
somehow this just makes it easier to cheat without any consequences.

perhaps government should curtail the size to which banks are allowed to grow

some say we need big banks to make big loans for big projects.
