his base be? it ain’t the GOP/MAGA because he burned that
bridge, and it won’t be Liberals because they never trusted him
in the first place and who is left? any such party doesn’t have
a base, and you have to have a base to do anything,
so, where is his base?

He’s still pretty popular with a lot of political neoconservatives and independents.
A lot of the people who voted for Trump are now turning away from him in droves where having lost faith in both libertarians or republicans are thinking deeply of political alternatives.
I don’t know if Tucker Carlson would be a good political leader or not, there’s a lot of things that even I disagree with him about. Nonetheless, he has talked a lot about a rejuvenated American working class domestically and as a working class communist myself that’s something I agree with.
I try to keep an open mind hearing and listening to other people’s political beliefs because ultimately there needs to be more public dialogue in this nation where political debate should be open to all.
This disqualifies any commentary you have on the political scene because you are incapable of differentiation. You probably have no idea of the political goals of these parties, let alone how they would fare in a coalition.
America has deserved the whole catastrophe of their political structures because it represents the stubbornness of fundamentalist thinking, both religious and political. The country has harboured sympathy for authoritarians, dictators, and unfettered capitalism, evoking the “American Dream”, which is an illusion. No wonder that Philip Roth was convinced that it was fortunate circumstances that made America fight fascism, and a turn of events might have seen Hitler gain a powerful ally.
As it is, America’s fight against Communism was used to veil its own hegemonic policies, subjugating the world under its financial power, ravaging poorer countries just as the British Empire did. Greed was always the big motivator in America, and Trump embodies this like nobody before him, because he is additionally one of the worst human beings on the planet, voted in by people who are just as bad.
You have not suffered enough by far, if you are picking the geniuses who sold you and your family as less than a product over a honest idiot who is actually looking after your interests.
His base can be the people who are not mentally retarded and wont keep on voting for a uniparty that only exploits them.
It is an entirely different question to ask how many such people exist.
That question does not talk about Carlson’s quality. That question talks about the quality of the people and society the voterbase is from.
This isn’t true (anymore). There is the Communist Control Act of 1954, but it isn’t enforced and it’s not consitutional. Some states have hurdles for communists, but these can be overturned if you have money for the court process. And some communists have won local elections recently.
The real problem a communist candidate has is how dirty a word ‘communist’ is to so many americans once you leave the coasts and even on the coasts. If you avoided the word and even had the same positions on issues, it would raise the chances quite a bit, though they’d still be very low.
He’s doing better than he was when he was backing Trump. More people regularly follow him and much of the right is also disgusted by Trump, since he basically didn’t do what he said he would and did do what he said he wouldn’t. And he did leave Trump on good grounds, has apologized for positions he has taken - a rarity on anyone in public life’s part - and overlaps with people on different parts of the political spectrum, even if that isn’t acknowledged yet.
Disqualifies me? You’ll find I understand political differentiation just fine actually.

Of course I have criticisms of the American Communist Party itself in that it has become watered down by liberalism for several decades now where it acts too much like an obedient subset of the democratic party.
In my understanding of Marxism or communism liberalism has no place in either.
