UK makes me queasy

It is, and you know, it’s not just women who are completely sick of it.

The fact that this stuff sells so well, is a very bad indication of what contemporary male ideals are concerning women. Also, it’s a hugely negative influence on young girls and teens.

Is that the “perfect” woman is? An over-sexualised, barely dressed cabaret dancer who performs in the most salacious way possible? Is that what a female musician is now?

It really grinds my gears, and it has now become so absurd and vulgar that causing offence seems to be the primary agenda, there is no regard for consequences whatsoever.

Also the music is bloody awful.

Yes, because a ‘state of mind’ would imply it is influential. This is inherent therefore not a state but purely the mental.

Here i mean its not determining wether or not they literally have the mind of a female, it means its fact their mind prefers the things we have labelled as female (societal things such as how we dress) as well as things they are born with such as their “assigned sex”. Their gender dysphoria with such things is evidence in itself that their mind “is not the mind of the sex of the body that such person has”

I dont recall namecalling you. But if you mean to others i only name call when name called first. So no, i wont :face_with_tongue:

Yes I suppose, if i recall there is some evidence of hormonal issues in the mother going into it. So yes its biological in turn in that aspect if its something that develops in utero

For sure we react to society in different ways. For sure, many people lack compassion and simply treat others as lower than them, adhering to saying that what they feel as is what is real. True compassion includes treating what the person you are having compassion to with the same rigour as any other, respecting them is criticizing what they say, and the lack of that respect is what propels that confusion between identification and identity.

If you are respectul and compassionate towards me, when I identify as whatever, and I confuse that with identity, you have to criticize what I said and clear it up.

What do you mean by ‘influential’?

Yeah, people prefer lot of different things: some things are prefererred by all, most aren’t - some prefer sleeping on their back, some on their stomach. Some change how they prefer to sleep over time, and some don’t.

The gender dysphoria means that they’d prefer for something to be different than how it is, something that they’re unable to change. Their self-identification is different from their identity.

Let me clear that up, since I think that identity/identification error is basic to the topic at hand:

For example, suppose I was born in Italy, but after I was born my parents moved to France and told me I was born in France, yet from afar I look white stereotypically German. That means my identity is ‘Italian’, my self-identification is ‘French’, and how I’m mosty identified by others is ‘German’. Those are three different things, and it’s nothing wrong for them to be all different. Same with anything else. The first (identity) is not able to change, and to try to make others identify me to be ‘French’ would still be wrong if you think identification would be important to be the nearest to identity, since I’m Italian.

I meant namecalling as referring to the people and not the ideas.

Do you work with people who suffer in many different ways, psychologically or physically? The first thing we do is include them in our sphere of recognition and respect. We do not bombard them with criticism but try to understand where and why it hurts. Many more people have trauma in their lives than we see on the surface. It isn’t our job to tell them that their trauma is not “real trauma,” but to help them assess their own lives and heal where it is necessary.

What people do or not makes no difference here, since the things written are not dependent on who wrote them.

Many people do a lot of different things in different situations, for sure. Many people, too, do stuff that is wrong thinking it is right. Apart from that, recall that the ends don’t justify the means. It’s not enough that some people feel better after doing such and such a thing to justify the means by which you made them feel better.

So, the point still stands: it’s not respectful of others to not criticize their ideas, because their ideas are not them, and you’d be treating them as lesser than

I don’t know what you are talking about, only that you seem to have no experience in this field and display the lack of compassion I was talking about.

That the person that writes something or the experience or such make no difference, precisely, because the point is what is written - it is not dependent on who wrote that. Figure, for example, that I copy and pasted a random collection of characters. It doesn’t make it false nor true.

So, back to the topic: the ends don’t justify the means, and it’s precisely disrespectful to not criticize what people say out of who that people are.

You were responding to this comment of mine:

So, perhaps you should really get back to the subject. What is to criticise?

What I wrote before: You seem to imply that not criticizing something said by some person is compassionate, when it’s the contrary.

I would hardly call any of that third wave feminism.. third wave feminism stays true to the 1990s idea and always has.. its misogynists and trads that all spew this “third wave feminism has destroyed the world!” shit and all those that reject feminism (even women) follow this blindly. I can only wonder why..

all of that you’ve mentioned is just results of corporate feminism in disguise.. and results of being used as mechanism of defence in some weird way as we humans cling to things like that when looking for an exit from scrutiny (which happens millions of times a day bc online).. so it turns to illogical finger pointing (ex: shes a whore!) and accusal (ex: feminists dont call people whores!) and the third reaction (ex: i agree and im pissed off at who i disagree with!) and the fourth (ex: i disgree! fuck that bitch) and so on… that created a whole layer in itself of this in a picture of almost 4 billion women where we are all collectively observing the world together at once.. The reason feminism is broken because we let this way overrule the whys

Unemotionally, i think this is not a great reason to not be a feminist. Which ideology’s base is completely uniform in opinion? None…

I mean okay..you dont agree with “third wave feminism” but why did you throw it out as a whole? You gave it up that easily!!!

But im not totally judging you for not being a feminist.. I understand and wish you will change your mind one day.. To me, to be a self labelled feminist is a conscious denial of the ridicule, violence and social inequality women go through every 7 minutes … i am a feminist because its so hated and misunderstood… always has

I also believe an individual can not survive alone in every context possible and especially with fighting against womens rights alone!!!

Using labels as a Defence mechanism in the context of feminism is also a reason i think sex work being empowering has become such a hot tawpic issue in feminism, specifically for the past 10 or so years. The scrutiny that has come with the rise of onlyfans and the porn industry in general in this time span.

For other reasons i very much am scared of and hate this as well but i think we are looking at this the wrong way. Women (and men btw but no one talks about that :face_with_tongue:) WILL do sex work regardless if you and i hate it or not and most importantly, WHETHER ITS LEGAL OR NOT!!!.

So why dont we focus on regulating this industry and making it safe and harder to access…once and for all !! With all that Do they deserve the threats and personal shame they get? do they not deserve protection or their (if the setting calls for) worker rights? Are they useless, worthless, disgusting whores like they all say? Will you say that yourself? I dont know… i cant truly say that myself (and trust me i would if i did and i feel you are the same maybe) This topic is one thing i can never make my mind on honestly

I can not believe (in a curious way) you are mentioning sex trafficking as someone who rejects feminism! I feel as though this is a major reason why we need it and especially in light of all this e*stein shit… and with women and GIRLS making the higher percentage for sex trafficking and sex crimes alone..Despite of this horrific fact i dont see how sex work relates to sex trafficking in the context you’re saying other than it being a method of trafficking victims sometimes (that is where heavy law comes into play and should more often, yes)

“We need men on our side to eradicate any and every form of discrimination based on sex”…Name 10 men that are dedicated to “eradicating every form of discrimination based on sex” :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob: Lol

They aren’t… and never will…not because of feminism… because of their own toxic masculinity and insecurity they impose upon themselves… because its seen as gay and unmanly and desperate or untraditional to fight for womens rights as a man for men in many masculine spaces…i dont hate men and i am not a misandrist but this just how i see it plainly and…forbearing-ly…it has been so since before third wave feminism, systematically and socially

As for gender wars and such who do you really think started this..? Why you blame the reactive abuser more than the initial abuser??

Pandering to male delusions, cheating and fetishes is not ‘feminist’ in any way, shape or form. It’s the exact opposite. I don’t care what fucking ‘wave’ you call it.

A simple mistake.Often those ‘reply’ arrows don’t even show up. Most of what you write makes no sense anyway, so it could have been directed at anyone.

What on earth are you going on about? ‘Pink and blue’?? What does that have to do with anything? How does ‘God’ come into it? You are the one claiming that ‘gendersouls’ get ‘put into the wrong body’.That sounds pretty darned god-bothering religious to me  What ‘colloquial’ term? Oh never mind. Trying to decipher your crap takes too much effort.

This gentle flower clearly has a female ‘gendersoul’ that was incorrectly planted in his embryo

Lmfao why? Is it not factually true ..? this has been a fact throughout history. Its the same with everything. People will do drugs whether its legal or not, people will do sex work whether is legal or not… What do you wanna do… Shame them and abandon them or make it so sex work is not a dangerous and harmful thing (half the reason why sex work is bad in the first place)

Bahahaha ew would it kill you to read for once

Why must you always say the most basic unthoughtful unintelligent things ..essentially All you do/add to the conversation is say “Meh..I HATE IT AND I HATE YOU!” like some pathetic redditor

That’s pretty rich coming from someone who says ‘factually true’

Wow, I must be really ‘unintelligent’ if you say it. That’s put me in my place
