The wife and I are going to Europe in May and we
shall be in Paris, London and Rome. If any of you wish to
meet up in any of the above places, just PM me and I shall
give you specific details. I shall be in Paris for 4 days and
London for 5 days and so I shall have time to meet if you
so wish. If you do, you do and if you don’t, you don’t.

What do you plan to see?
As this is a “gift” for the wife because we have been married for
20 years as of July 5th, I have left a bit for her. I would like to
visit Versailles one day but beyond that Paris is open for me because
I was there in 1986 and visited quite a few sites then. As for
London, the British Museum and Library are big on my list.
I suspect for my wife, its tea, changing of the guard, anything royal
is big on her list. We will actually be spending most of our three weeks
in Europe in Rome or Florence, 10 days or so. I’ve been to Rome but
never to Florence so that should be fun. My wife has never been to
Europe so everything will be new to her.

Yeah, the British Museum is good. Tower of London is good. It’s right by Tower Bridge - a must see.
I went to Kew Gardens once in the spring - very nice.
In Paris, you have to do the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.
Lots of good museums in Paris, especially if you are into art.
Versailles and Fontainebleu are both good day trips.
May is a great time to go, before the tourists arrive.
Do what to them? I think Paris has had enough done to it lately.
Mount them.
Be careful and don’t feed any jihadis. 
You need to worry more about the Gypsies. They are constantly trying to get money out of you.
Everyone ask me about terrorist and honestly, I am really not
worried. The odds of anything happening are so small, I have
a better chance of winning the lottery than something happening
with terrorist. I am far more concerned with the falling dollar vs
the Euro and the pound than I am with terrorist.

I went to Versailles. It wasn’t all that. There is a big clock built into a garden that’s pretty cool, and if I recall there were some hot dog vendors nearby so it was nice to have some real food.

staying around Earl’s court area. That gives you a ballpark nature of our stay.

I have a friend who owns a hotel in Earls Court, I wonder if it’s his place you’ll be staying at 
Btw all the museums, galleries, auction houses, and zoos have ‘lates’ starting at 6.30pm onwards where cocktails are served to the sound of a DJ while you peruse the acquisitions on show, and there are talks that relate to the acquisitions in the now and not just the then… which is a much more interesting context to see things in.

I will ask ‘our friend’ but it does depend on the time of year, so quiet periods are much less as opposed to the pricier busier times of year…

Your new friend will need a room for one night between those dates. Not the 13th. Have to see when our other friend is available. Probably the 14th or 15th, depending upon PK.
I have sent the message to ‘our friend’ and will let you know prices when he gets back to me with them, so that you (my new friend ) and our new friend KP+1 can at least stay in a recommended hotel.
