Walkin' in a winter wonderland...

So we made the trip home with no problems. Didn’t run into any weather, no car trouble, and I was able to do the bulk of the driving in the middle of the night when no one was on the road, which was wonderful  I set the cruise at 20 over the speed limit and tore the road UP, we made excellent time. I’ve been non-stop running pretty much since I got here – like, I got out of the car after 25 hours of being on the road, ran into my friend’s house to change and brush my teeth, got in her car and went to a pro basketball game. It’s been insane.

I am loving being here for the holidays, but…ffs, my toes have felt like they were going to break off since I got here! It’s soooo cooooold.

FYI, Wisconsin sucks. The ONLY redeeming quality about this place is that the people I love live here.

Snow all over the branches of trees and bushes just after a snowfall is beautiful.

The incredible quiet when a light snow is falling. Amazing.

Two word solution to toe problems : warm boots.

I feel like I’m surreptitiously sneaking a peak at a note written for someone else. :-k

Blurred has a habit of just being REAL. It’s part of her charm. Sometimes, it’s also a warning… :-"

Warm boots are not practical all the time. I did make a mistake in only bringing two pair of Chuck Taylor’s and a pair of black dress shoes though, not the warmest footwear.

You’re right, though. Of course there are good things about this place. Snow can be beautiful, winter sports are a blast, and in the summer all the trees and green everywhere give me a little thrill .

A warning? I’ve no idea what you’re talking about. O:)
