The difference between the two conventions is like night and day…
the GOP was about anger and division and hate and shouts of
“lock her up” and the politics of fear…
I was going to write very little offer in the way of
substance but frankly there was nothing of substance outside
of the hate and fear mongering…
I was surprise to see how the DEM’s convention was
far more patriotic and far more optimistic and
far more hopeful and really far more religious.
the DEM’S talked about god way more than the GOP
and religious values really held front and center
during the convention… the DEM’S convention was
far better organized and far tighter and with more
powerful and better speakers…I felt good coming
out of the DEM’S convention whereas with the GOP
I had to take a shower after each night because
I felt dirty and unclean after watching their crap…
If the convention was the message, the DEM’S message
was far better and far cleaner than the GOP message.
The GOP message was hate and fear and
the DEM’S was love and togetherness.
Which message hits home will decide who gets elected.

Peter, I agree that the dems were more optimistic and religious - this is what I, as a foreigner, find very strange and otherworldly given the challenges ahead.

I think were on the precipice of a protracted religious civil war in Europe, caused by US policies. The Republicans have the decency to address this. The Dems are just one big fuck you to the world.
Or not vote at all. The entire outcome of this horrendous affair will be the same no matter what. No need to waste time pretending otherwise.

That’s not true. Maybe it doesn’t make a difference which is big enough to motivate you to vote but the outcome will not be the same.

Who knows what’s going on behind the stage but if Merkel and the French political establishment would not want to import those ‘refugees’ then they wouldn’t be flooding the western parts of Europe. They incentivised them to come to Europe in a big way. They want them there, mainly due to ideological reasons. By now they must have figured out, even the dumbest among them, that they are not making Europe a more prosperous place.
The DNC didn’t manipulate the election. THAT’S right wing media bullshit (and sour grapes on the part of the Bernie disciples). The DNC, like the RNC, is a private institution that creates its own rules for how the primary operates. They are well within their rights to favor and endorse one candidate over the other. The RNC did everything it could to stop Trump without fomenting a revolt among primary voters, and they failed because the majority of their voters still preferred Trump. Likewise, the DNC did everything they could to ensure Hillary’s success over Bernie’s without fomenting a revolt, the difference is the DNC got lucky and 3 MILLION MORE people voted for Hillary in the primary than voted for Bernie - the DNC had nothing to do with that. The Wicked Witch of the West won, fair and square.
Trump’s rhetoric notwithstanding, and the email hack notwithstanding, the DNC didn’t rig any elections, they just got what they wanted.
First you say the DNC didn’t manipulate the elections and then you explain how the DNC manipulated the election (as did try the GOP establishment in their corner) but that it doesn’t count as manipulation because they are well within their rights to do such manipulations.
Then you say the DNC, which was within their rights to support and manipulate where they saw fit, had nothing to do with Hillary’s success.
DNC = corrupt and the only reason they still have’t imploded completely is because they were particularly good at manipulating a good chunk of the population into hating Trump. But even those numbers are crumbling.
Uh no. You’re simply playing with the word “manipulate” because i just destroyed the conspiracy theory you got from your prophet Trump via FOX News. In no realistic scenario did the DNC sway 3 million people to vote for Hillary rather than Sanders. Hillary won by substantially more popular votes on her own accord. Period. Yeah, the DNC favored Hillary and EVERYONE knew that from the beginning. Even Sanders knew it. They were well within their rights to support her over Sanders, secretly and publicly - that’s NOT “manipulating” the election. Stuffing ballot boxes and suppressing voters is “manipulating” the election and that did not happen.
