@MrAuthoritarian That kind of “bait and switch” is everywhere. They do it in the UK as well, they call e.g. the Labour party (who are now corpo controlled slaves for the most part) “socialists”, what absolute fucking nonsense. No one is falling for that anymore, as if sociallism as defined exists in the US or UK. They think if they slowly redefine socialism (and communism for that matter), they will be able to turn it into something more acceptable to the corporate agenda.
No. That won’t work, bozos, because there are socialist (and hybrid communist) countries in existence, especially the Scandinavian block, some smaller European nations, and some nations in the Americas. We know full well what socialism entails.
They do that, you know, change a definition to suit their agenda and remove opposition. A death by a thousand bullshit cuts.
Now we have this: Socialist Countries 2026
Full conflation of Communism and Socialism. The polarisation is complete, as far as they are concerned, the middle ground has been destroyed.
I see what they are doing, fucktards that they are.
This tries to explain, didn’t have time to read it all, unfortunately:

For decades, the terms “communist” and “socialist” have been used in the U.S. to attack political opponents who are often neither. Similarly, countless government programs and legislative proposals have been denounced as socialist or communist by those who oppose them for one reason or another. Both of those traditions continue to this day.
edit—not sure if “bait and switch” can be used that way, but you get what I mean.
