Descartes:

“I exist because I think I exist. If you don’t think I exist, then why are you reading my book?” - from “Just Walk Away, Rene”, 1853

To ‘exist’ is to be thought of. What exists to man is what he has thought of, felt, or believed in. Whatever he says, whatever he does, that is himself. But, whatever he sees, and whatever he believes, that is also himself; One part of himself plays god, and the other plays the lowly man. The god-player in him, is his solid reality. It is absolute, total belief in the senses. That little god in him, that cannot ever be controlled or denied, is also his realness, and his small sector of absolute power. No matter what anyone says or does, he still exists, or has existed, and what he was made of, that energy never dies, it just continues on forever, as one culmination overcomes another.

I don’t know anything, really.

But a finite change can theoretically be applied to a whole set of infinity. For example, infinite boxes suddenly become blue. It is not difficult to imagine a blue box. And to imagine an infinite, just imagine something that does not “stop”.

And so these two may be in man. Somehow, infinite and finite can influence eachother. Perhaps one keeps on overcoming the other, forever?

Man’s little bit of god in him, is both mortal and immortal, an absolute that is relative. He can be unquestionably real, but also, he can be fake.

I suppose this is uninteresting?

Dan~no - that is a fine axiom for Metaphysical Materialism.

Wow, after looking through that book, his other, more mainstream, book,“Talk to The Hand, Rene” with its complementary guide “Churning the Vat With Rene”, now make a great deal of sense. Very helpful, faust, thanks.

Just curious, or maybe a little concerned, does anyone else experience spasms while reading the great one?

On to other topics:

When you said a million, I thought you were kidding. And for some reason, I find myself caught off guard every time I chance upon an occasional booby trap. I’m still working through MM and its interlocking axioms, right now … right after I mop the floor.
