Back in the day when people first started talking about cloning phones, I was in New York and got a call from a New York number that I didn’t recognize and immediately thought my phone had been cloned. But I answered it and the person on the other end claimed to be from the David Letterman show and proceeded to ask me some random questions about that show. This girl I was in the car with knew all the answers and so they gave us tickets to a taping and I got to be in the audience. Kate Beckinsale was the guest this was back in the mid 2000s. I guess like a few weeks before i’d called that number at the end of the shows back in the day where they’re like “if you’re going to be in the area call this number for tickets” and sure enough there I was and I got the tickets.
Moral of the story is that your phone probably wasn’t cloned.
