What do Atheists hold Sacred?

The knowledge derived from COGNITIVELY biased inward only meditation is a load of nonsense.

The individual who is separate from matter and electromagnetic energy waves ENGAGES with the mind (brain).

The physical brain is a biological computer which is operated with binary software derived from vibrating matter.

The individual interprets electromagnetic energy waves emitted from vibrating matter.

This is telling. It’s Jupiter123’s response to a question directed to Bob.

Nor a Buddhists because they both believe in cognitively biased nonsense.

Neither of these cognitively biased atheistic and theistic religions understand consciousness.

Both have allegiances with each other though because there is a statue of Shiva outside the religious cult of atheism’s scientific HQ in CERN near Geneva.

Wrong! ..the giant Shiva statue was gifted to CERN.. and that’s not the only thing that CERN got from India, but if you don’t know, you don’t know.. :woman_shrugging:

Yeah ..whatever…we know exactly where mainstream cognitively biased +=- and -=+ philosophy science’s allegiances lie and it doesn’t hide the fact. It’s all misguided nonsense though as we know.

It’s all founded upon the atheistic religious philosophical guess that good=bad and bad=good.

You can’t fool God.

You can be a fool though for sure.

If there is a god, this god has no legitimate contract with human beings. A human being would have to review the terms of living before agreeing to the contract and having an obligation to it. But humans are born without being consulted first, so there is no contract or obligation.

Now, indeed, a god may exist, and you may end up in hell… but you would not regret it. Why not. Because you’d never worship a god that forced you into a contract you were not able to review or agree to first. Such a god is incompetent or a tyrant.

Best thing to do then is do what you think is ‘good’ and ‘right’ irrespective of what may actually be ‘good’ and ‘right’ according to this god. If these ‘good’ and ‘right’ things that you do happen to be in agreement with this god, good for him, but this does not concern you.

The righteous God doesn’t force anyone to love him.

+=- and -=+ philosophy is derived from good is bad and bad is good philosophy as we all know.

The problem for atheists and theists alike is that +=- and -=+ philosophy doesn’t migrate into science because attractive and repulsive electromagnetic force absolutes don’t cancel out.

Therefore mainstream science can invent as many nonsense theories and forces as it wants but its philosophy is still incorrect.

Duplicate post.

Thomas Merton on Eastern religions, followed him to Sri Lanka, discovered Bede Griffiths just before he died and slowly my panentheistic universalism grew.

Both Catholics

Some Catholic thinkers have engaged with Advaita Vedanta,

Have you gone full circle without realising it?

No, I have spiralled out of my humble beginnings and look back on my various stages affectionately. I believe I understand where the people were when we engaged, but I have moved on, both geographically and spiritually.

I feel like taking a deeply spiritual pilgrimage of self-discovery after reading this inspirational thread.

Hi Surya Loka,

What does that name mean?

All my atheist friends and acquaintances would disagree with you.. you seem to be describing Paganism rather than Atheism.. an Atheist never ponders on ‘who’ or ‘what’ a God is.. or so they’ve told me.

I was actually speaking more psychologically. Of course, it is possible that there are atheists who never give a thought to the God concept for whatever reason. I just find it hard to believe that any intelligent, seeing person can look at this universe and not attribute it to a creative, well-organized, high detailed intelligent, etcetera being.

Where do atheists believe this Universe came from?

I have been quite the agnostic, so close to being an atheist at times through my skepticism, many questions and many doubts, and I even asked myself the question at times in the past:
Seeing all of this, how can I possibly entertain the thought that there is no God?

I really do feel/intuit that it all comes down to the human heart and mind and something within us that is afraid to let go and just jump in the abyss lol and believe… and in actual cases, not just to believe but to know. I really feel it comes down to where we have been in our lives and who we are at our core, or to put it another way, where we really live inside ourselves.

Could there really be a true atheist?

.

What did they seem to hold sacred? ..very little , it seemed

Maybe change that word to mean valuable and meaningful and something close to their heart and they may come up with an answer. Watch them carefully.
