What do people who study economics do?

I want to ask a simple question: What do people who major in economics do after graduation? What kind of job do they do? as financial advisor?

BTW， Do you know any good online club or discussion forum on economics?

I have a friend who has degrees in economics and in philosophy and he works at a university and does public policy work in capetown.

You could get a job at a koch brothers funded right wing fake think tank as long as you’re willing to produce “research” that says regulations on businesses and taxing people to help the poor are going to bring about the end of the world.
