What is the best life?

give me your own opinions not opinions that comes from a book or somone else? Use the word “I”.

I believe the best life is to become this non- being, but also a being.
Meaning like he is rich but does not carry any money, when he wants something he can get it without money. Who is this person and does this person actually exist?

I think you are going to have to narrow this line
of questing down a bit. The question is too broad.

Kropotkin

i’d say that would be to finally self improve or be improved beyond the constant want and neglect and incomleteness i see all around me.

this DNA makes me oonhappa! and am oonhappa because i have this DNA!

“Best life” is a relative concept; Everyone has there own ideal of what the best life is. For me, it is exactly what I am doing now, having the freedom to do what I wish, search for truth, happiness, and to study philosophy.

How does that make sense?

Since you said, “Everyone has there own ideal of what the best life is”.Therefore it makes perfect sense to me. But I am sure someone will be able to answer you, I don’t feel like explaining myself anymore.

Hanging out the back of Kate Moss with a beer in one hand and the TV remote in the other seems like a successful conclusion.

Strait up, I know the meaning(s) of life ENTIRELY!

“The best life” actually has to do more with width and growth. If you lived longer then humans do, you would have more time to learn more, do more, develop and aquire more – this would be a better life because of advancement.

One of the main meanings of life on earth is to evolve and change; get more adapted and capable. It’s too damned bad that we can learn so much in a life time, but our DNA doesn’t learn didly-squat! It’s hardware vs software issues mang, lamezillia.

But if we are talking about Hedonistic “best” – find a really hot peace of ass, practice your favorite sports with your buddies, take on a tolerant and liberal attitude as you make lots of friends and love freely, etc.

OOOORRRR: [Buddha style]
The silancing of desire is the silancing of suffering. You’ll get some nirvahna if you eventually let go of all want [but will still have your willpower and your satisfying of your own needs].

And then there is me… A sort of pan aproach. I believe that everything is good. I want atheists and theists to exist. I want all sorts of different races, opinions and values to exist.

Theoretically – I’d written about “the cure for all evil in all realities through out all dimensions and time” – [long story short] Dan discovers that “evil” is a motion striking against a life form, and it is a vector motion that can be re-directed towards a more pure self-advancement/growth ideal.

Principals of math and shapes/dimensions can be applied to all subjective cycles and systems, in effect, mapping the essense of consciousness – and once we have the map, we really know where we are going!

Soft hugs from Dan, byebye.

You didnt answer my question. How does “I believe the best life is to become this non- being, but also a being.” make sense?

I know no better life purpose than attempting The Great and the Imposible…

I don’t wish to explain myself anymore.

what is the great and impossible?

He’s talkin about hard work and progress, dan02.

The best life is when you realize there is nothing to get angry, sad or fearful of anymore. You can be on your death bed and realize that you are living the best life. You can be digging yourself out of an avalanche or walking out of a war zone bloody and dying when you realize this, or you can be holding your newborn child or getting a hug from your beloved. We all reach this point at sometime or another. I am still waiting.

I suppose the best life could be said to be a life that you would not trade away even with the bad in it. If you can say that you would not trade your life for anyone elses or anything, that would be the best life. If that is the case, then I have finished waiting.

Dan told you… It is one of the greatest Nietzsche´s quotations…

Progress, work, thinking, tryin to win, no to be good, and so on… And the Imposible - hm… you know, what said Einstein, That One will go the furthest once he dont know, where he is going…

the best life is the unattainable one

in general, you are true, but, my life is the best one :sunglasses:

I see what you all are talking about, but what I don’t see is how to achieved it.

What is the unattainable?

please give me more meaning on this, for it can mean anything.

I see this as profound. Only when you keep reaching for more and more and are NEVER satisfied. You can always be more, do more, give more, and learn soooo much more. Just one life and so little time.

That IS the best life.

I was speaking in a more Utopian context, in which one’s wants always supersedes what they have. (Most) people’s dreams are far better then their reality.

dont have boundaries in your internal world. Dont be like others, Try to be absolutely someone else, try to do something, what has been never done, be different as ussual…

BS,

I knew what you meant. But words can be tricky little bastards, eh?
