Obviously the (universal, not the personal one) human endgame probably isn’t at the “end” in sequential time, because existence is probably timeless, supersynchronous. If there’s a human endgame, it’s probably already happening. And most people are probably excluded from it, they are only parts of the wider scenery, they don’t qualify.
There’s also the personal endgame, that varies from person to person. I would advise everyone to figure out exactly what they personally want/need the most in life (could be several things in some order), no matter how long it takes to figure it out.
There’s a serious contradiction here. You think we should stip away everything to its basic components while at the same time somehow coming up with the human endgame. We certainly can’t ‘see’ the human endgame. Stripped down to a kind of naive empiricism we have no tools to determine the human endgame. And whatever anyone decides is the human endgame is a proposing an -ism. They might be correct, but it’s an ism. An abstract theory about meaning and or goals. (and then there are the problems of naive empiricism)
Proclaiming that the supreme human virtue is “standing naked without isms” is itself a rigid, normative framework. It is a dogmatic Enlightenment ism dressing up as the absence of ideology.
The animist shaman, hearing what you are capable of seeing, may well say ‘Man, you’ve been trained not to notice all sorts of things.’
This activity is probably largely irrelevant when it comes to a human endgame. It may only have to do with a (very) small minority at the center of it.
I’m going by his OP, what seems to be his version/conception of ‘endgame’ and reacting to the contradictions in the OP as a whole. Endgame could be interpreted other ways, sure.
In every single sport, there is some sort of endgame,
to score more goals, run faster than the other guy, to
climb higher, to outthink the other guy as in chess,
In every single activity we do, there is some sort of
endgame… even if we are relaxing at the beach, the
endgame is just that, relaxing…
So, what is the endgame of human beings?
In religions, it is to reach or achieve the goal established
by god/or gods… to get to heaven for example, or to
be ‘‘saved’’ whatever the hell that means… but in every
activity, there is some sort of goal or endgame to be reached…
So, what is the endgame of human beings?
Well, considering that has absolutely nothing at all to do with me nor with anything I have said here why you quoted me and then replied I am not sure why. your response appears very irrelevant.
Children. Present-centered. Those who dwell in the Here and Now, there being no other moment.
You are familiar with the Allegory of the Cave. Teachers. Those who teach children about Tomorrow. Next Week. Last week. Tuesday. 3 o’clock. Saturday evening… Imaginary notions.
That’s hilarilous considering you said above that everyone has the same needs, which is a completely insane claim unless we believe that everyone has the same mind and the bodies don’t matter (which is a just slightly less insane claim). Amnesia much?
There are different levels of consciousness.
Not sure of your age. Back in the day we had to twist a dial in order to get the correct radio signal. A tweak here or there and the reception was poor.
Now you’re saying three things, that there are different levels of consciousness, it’s only displayed when in the present moment, and it’s received. Anything else? It’s the poor man’s therapeutic theory of consciousness.
And, again, this claim of lies and false accusations is all it can resort to.
What you are imagining here has absolutely nothing at all to do with what I have actually said. As can be very easily and simply proved by just reading ‘my words’, and ‘your inferences’.
You seem to be under the impression that consciousness is merely a matter of being alive.
Put it another way - regarding levels of consciousness…
Ever been in a car accident? Ever listened to the accounts of those who have? They may say something along the lines of: “It was weird… everything was in slow motion… it seemed as though everything was connected to everything else.”
That, momentarily, is a raised level of consciousness.
