there is none …except for my survival and wellbeing
Experience.
What are you actually asking?
Do you know?
You ever read Franz Kafka’s The Trial? Inside the novel there is a small parable that, in my opinion, serves as an answer to your question. Here is the link, if you are interested: kafka-online.info/before-the-law.html
The question is nonsense.
Oh I know this one.
That which is inferred from what is conveyed through a statement in the form of a question, command or declaration, about the word ‘life’.
Did I nail it or did I nail it?
Both.
Best Answer so far:
So lowlevel. So noob.
That’s a question you ask to strangers, not seasoned philosopher veterans on boards.
Generic responses
“Meaning maker” “God” “To enjoy life” “To build things”
I choose option four
Primal Rage
What is the meaning of life?
Its meaning or its purpose? Erik, do you fathom how many times this question has been asked in ilp?
These days the meaning of my life or its main focus in regard to “everything” in it is to try to learn how to live the questions.
That is a not so easy feat.
For the love of the god, no " 42 " !
I thought you liked large sizes.

What makes you think this place is occupied by seasoned philosopher veterans?
I’m more interested in how people respond to this question, as opposed to the answer itself. Your response did not impress me.
Chew on your thoughts before you digest and defecate them.
Look at it this way, the only people who would be able to answer that question would be gods. Which has a higher likelyhood of being a god? It’s a poorly formulated question, really it is.
We already know what a meaning is, it is some form of attachment that mirrors the current reality. So what s the meaning of life? Whatever you’re attached to, by definition.
A proper question would be, “What is the grand secret of existence”, “What propels gravity”,"Why is cosciousness splt into several entities and how do they all perceive seperate realities. " “Where are the aliens” “Why is life so absurd” “Why was I not born someone else” “Why is god apathetic and lazy” “Do I have a purpose” “Is my life the truman show for the cosmos entertainment” “Can the universe think” “Why does pleasure correspond with seemingly random physical arrangements brought over the course of natural selection” etc.

I shit you not: at the precise moment I read that statement, I dropped a whole open packet of ramen noodles (a peripatetic proletarian essential) flavoring all over my lap.
So yes, I am a very seasoned philosopher, PR.
PR?
You get three guesses at what PR stands for.
On your mark, get set, go!
hint: consider the context in which it was used, the fact that it was used as a proper noun, and to whom the statement which contained the word was spoken in my response to the quote.
PR → Poopy Response. Tells me nothings says nothing is nothing.
Oh Primal Rage. That’s the alias he goes by these days…

Humans possess the divine ability of self-reflection - we are gods, it’s just that most people don’t utilize their godly abilities; instead, they wallow in their own feces, like pigs. The philosopher is a daemon: an intermediary between the divine and mundane - not fully god; not fully animal. Philosophizing is the activity of the divine.
There are a bunch of ways to rephrase my question, but you get the gist.
The question is a formulation arising from a process and action that structures and maintains the ‘you’ or self inside of you. A process of knowing something about life and phrasing a question for which there is no answer so that the activity of thought can continue on forever – so ‘you’ can continue on in your efforts to devise colorful trains of thought and thus be a very interesting and exciting person.
