What kind of music do you like?

We debate a lot of things we disagree upon here, thought we could use a different pace of conversation here. What kind of music do you like?

For me I like classical music, opera, Spanish Flamenco, Spanish Classical Guitar, Salsa, Heavy Metal, Classic Rock’N’Roll, Blues, Jazz, Techno Rave, Country Music, and different folk music around the world as well.

I like all kinds of music, if I find it is genuine, from the heart, and not made for the money.
From Gregorian chants, to classical, and from hard rock to pop and rap…

The only genres I find difficult to enjoy is Jazz, and reggae…and electronic dance music…

I have never cared for reggae either.

I’ve heard worse.

Seriously, here’s three German bands I listen to A LOT:

Yeah, “seems” wholesome until you realize that the (North Korean) singers and musicians will probably be taken out and shot if they mess up the performance in this video…

Notice the stiff and programmed response of the singers and the military audience (at minute 2:15) when the dear leader (Kim Jong Un) appears on the giant screen.

This is not only unwholesome, it is downright depressing.

Yes, we’re suppose to believe every C.I.A report on foreign nations because they’re such a credible organization of truthfulness, right?

It’s not like we don’t disappear or murder our own citizens domestically, right?

None of which merits the evaluation of being “wholesome.”

Nevertheless, your “whataboutism” is duly noted.

Your blind faith in the current system we live under is also dually noted.

This young man is an admirer of the North Korean system. You’re preaching to deaf ears.

“Young man.”

You’re either a boomer or Generation X.

Not speaking in any tongue other than English, I obviously couldn’t understand anything they sang about,…

(but that’s nothing new for me, for I thoroughly enjoy many K-pop tunes)

…however, the music in the first two videos was excellent.

Unfortunately, the third video was unavailable.

This song has a very powerful message:

Kein SOS, kein Funksignal, kein Echo, Not

Kein SOS, kein Funksignal, kein Echo, Not

Kein SOS, kein Funksignal, kein Echo, Not

In One Boat

We live in the sound of machines
And nothing but fear drives us forward
We are lost, we are damned
The journey costs us our minds

We are all in the same boat
We are all in the same boat
No SOS, no radio signal, no echo, distress
We are all in the same boat
We are all in the same boat
We are all in the same boat
Around us a black sea that roars and rages
We are all in the same boat

Every farewell keeps its word
Maybe we’ll never leave the ship again
Who knows how deep the journey goes
That carries us to the edge of madness

We are all in the same boat
We are all in the same boat
No SOS, no radio signal, no echo, distress
We are all in the same boat
We are all in the same boat
We are all in the same boat
Around us a black sea that roars and rages
We are all in the same boat

Who can say where (where? where?)
If no one knows where we’ve been (everyone knows where we were)
If no one knows where we are (where to? where to?)
Tell me, why are we making wind?

We’re all in the same boat
We’re all in the same boat
No SOS, no radio signal, no echo, distress
We’re all in the same boat
We’re all in the same boat
We’re all in the same boat
Around us a black sea, roaring and raging
We’re all in the same boat

I’m my own man.

Probably the worst Rammstein song you could list.

Or a part of the older entitled generations that got lucky riding the train of cheap money and credit before it disappeared completely for all the younger generations that came afterward, hence why I asked.

I like most of them.
