however,there was no reprisal after WW2 of the combatants,that i know of(on a world war scale). things have changed and WW3 has not come in quick following.
what can we honestly expect???

give it 6 months… the eu is already pissing themselves, security council this, iran flipping them off…
will the us strike? nope…
well we will but only after israel blows whatever nuclear capacity iran has to smithereens…

It’d be easier going radical… and going on google, find some particular words and they’ll be a whole multiplicity of sites. On BBC4 resently i watched a long (long-long been BBC4) documentry on this. Christianity is the only religion with such a end prophecy.

I often think this actually motivates poeple to hasten the end of the world.

The Middle east (what with Kashmir and Israel-Palestine and now Iran/Iraq) is the most likely bet in terms of a flashpoint that could spiral into something bigger.
I disagree with Imp that WW3 has been going on since 9/11. I see the present war(s) as being the predictable reaction to the end of the cold war. Having Russia right there, hovering over the middle east, actually did the west quite a lot of good in many regards…
Actually before 9/11, I was sure that the next war
was going to involve the U.S. and china. I, now think
that china will still be involved but the other country
may be Russia or India, even perhaps the U.S.

No doubt they will welcome their American saviours with open arms… not to mention all the American mothers and fathers that will willingly cheer as their sons and daughters are drafted to wage war in Iran, because even you surely know, current troop levels are not sufficient to pacify Iraq, Afghanistan, and conquer Iran at the same time.
As for the original question, the two scenarios bandied about the most entail 1) A global conflict over a diminishing amount of finite resources or 2) The nations of the Southern Hemisphere revolt against the new styled colonialism implemented by nations in the Northern Hemisphere. Imagine about fifty or so Venezuelas. Pat Robertson would shit himself.
Or perhaps, some combination of the two.

I know of no religious Daoist, Hindu, Confucian, Buddhist that agrees with that . . . and a couple of animist/misc. religions as well.
