Ascendant sign or rising sign is the horoscope sign that was just rising (ascending) over the horizon at the location and moment of your birth. It is supposed to have an influence on the first impression you give off.
That could explain why so many people take zenofeller for who he is because his rising sign is the same as his sun sign.
in fact, having your sun sign ascending makes you alot more relaxed, and at ease with yourself. if you are a taurus with virgo rising you will forever have to fight the neurotic impression you give people, and will have dificulty being believed when you act according to your (strong and sexual) real persona. if you are a libra with gemini rising you will forever have to convince people you are not in fact the lieing entertainer duplicitary sleazebag they make you off for, and there is little more insulting for a libra.
in a sense, being born with a different ascendent seriously dents your chances of living a normal life, and makes you less able to function at maximum potential and enjoy your time on earth. you will never be as good, or as relaxed, or as happy, or have as much fun or satisfaction as people who, through no merit of their own, are not flawed by such stigmatic dychotomies.

so i filled out the free report things @ astrology.com and got a natal report, but i am a little unsure as to how to read it. I think that I am a Libra with Virgo being ascendant…though i have no idea what that means.
So I filled out the questionaire and it said my sign was:
