I don’t think the ones that dislike existence should serve as a standard for its value. I realize there is an argument for it, but I think they should desire the extinction of their own soul, strictly. Or like Ecmandu, strive for endless dreamless sleep.

There are many to whom existence is bliss. Even just a simple thing like having a steaming cup of tea at a winter sunrise can bring them absolute happiness. I wouldn’t want to take that away.

Hmm, I didn’t hear that about Ecmandu yet. Very cool. Cause in another thread he talks about how the purpose of existence is to expand itself and talks as if its a good thing. But from what I’m hearing now, it sounds like he really just wants endless dreamless sleep

Its only temporary though. If you told them they were actually 10 million years old and have to drink a steaming cup of tea 100 million times, because when they die they just reincarnate back into the same planet as someone else, then the situation would be different.

Many years ago I didn’t realize what I realize now. It all started with the deterioration of the gaming libraries. I started to see more and more cynical and shit games on offer. Then I started to wonder, “is this all there is of existence”. I started to notice it in non-gaming aspects of life as well, just in standard corporations and shops, how they put garbage tech and no effort into anything. Reality began to seem like some kind of facade, where people just fill their empty lives with distractions. Life seemed to be like some Sisyphunian obstacle course filled with pointless work and distractions and clueless normies

Still, the advent of the halo rings is a ways away, I am not even sure if ASI can ever be smart enough to build it. Or if there is some physics limitation that can’t be overcome, such as being only able to affect our galaxy and not others.

For the here and now I feel the Mind Wipe device is the best option. In our current society we already have such a device, called Death, which prevents people from becoming too bored. But it keeps people stupid and ignorant and unaware of what they learned in life. The Mind Wipe device will offer localized hedonic advantage of deleting games and movies you already played, but retaining knowledge and general learning

The ex poster and the one you are replying to, are one and the same.

Evidence? ..them being drawn to Pezer and Promethean, and to a lesser extent to Self Lightening, coz.. past affinities.

for the last time, I am not @Phoneutria_the_Red or @phoneutria and it wouldn’t surprise me a single bit if that poster was an invention of those just named (and of the person who posted it).

gosh dang you, MagsJ. I am replying with your past posts in mind (that other people are not necessarily even thinking about … and so nothing is making sense to them) …and I sound like a crazy person. Whatever.

So… are you going to be apologizing to anyone for messing up their life?

I don’t have any past affinities on this board, for the record. The one I did have, and should not have, is supposedly dead—and it isn’t James S Saint, as far as I’m aware, also for the record.

And whoever (if anyone) took “the point“ in the original post title as a vague reference to them (unless they’re actually God)… is both laughably mistaken, and vain.

Have a noice day.

But then, it comes to an either (good) or (bad) choice and the it’s strictly a non troll that could or would invade by being capable of anything but good, but for those critical of that

“Not sure why you are making this point here though?”

The deeper the game, the less choices there are, ergo the less meaning can be decoded from the flow

Not too sure either

Shirley is surely sure.
