From 2003 to 2012 I was involved in music production. I collaborated with a variety of talented people including one artist featured in Spin magazine. I produced the beat, mixed the track, wrote and recorded my verse and the hook and he wrote and recorded his verse. The track was hosted (now removed) for several years and charted on SoundClick. My pages were soundclick.com/abdjptn and soundclick.com/jptn his was soundclick.com/wellington2012.
Fast forward to 2014. A local was killed by law enforcement:
“An investigation has concluded that the shooting of an armed burglary suspect in Harriman Tuesday was justified. Officers shot and killed Miranda Michelle Guy, 28, in her home on Fairchild Street. According to a joint press release from District Attorney General Russell Johnson, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Harriman Police Department, Guy pointed a handgun at the officers and was advancing on one of them when they opened fire.”
Subsequent events led to my 2015 arrest. One day while driving I presented the middle finger to a law enforcement officer and was pulled over and accosted. The initial accusation was speeding however I was arrested for disorderly conduct which was largely prompted by said events of 2014.
When arrested I was in possession of a flash drive containing numerous essays I had written concerning government, commercialism, capitalism, socialism, society, philosophy, etcetera. It also contained personal poetry and fictional short stories including tales about extraterrestrials. Much of the material was inspired by the 2014 events. This would have been evident.
When communicating with authorities I expressed that I wanted them to examine the flash drive and its contents. That was part of the plan, to communicate these ideas in a provocative way hopefully to incite change or discussion. In fact that very message was conveyed in the material. It worked.
That explains the film references here. Tennessee, my state. Daniels, in reference to my name. The alien glows purple (purple, odd color choice, right?), referencing my last name which is a tone of purple. I bet they had a good laugh reading the alien stuff. A local politician, coincidentally of course, happens to be at the forefront of the recent national investigation into extraterrestrial intelligence and activity:

Here’s the music reference from the track shared above. It’s no longer hosted on SoundClick but it was recorded and released in 2009. In my verse I say “the movies say torch it”. In the 2017 Alien Covenant film Tennessee says “torch the fcker” which turns the alien purple.
