Seems like youāre implying that because itās a plentiful country there shouldnāt be many atheists.
I think the reality is statistically the reverse though. In the most plentiful, prosperous, and -well educated- countries, atheism is more common than in poorer countries. Thereās no doubt a wife variety of attempts to explain why that might be.

To follow up on my previous post, the trend is clearly the reverse of what the OP thinks would be the case. Prosperity up, religiosity down. When I google why, seems a lot of people think it has a lot to do with access to education.

Itās hard to separate out indoctrination, (de-) programming, (de-) construction, propaganda, so forth. I have heard/seen mixed reports from various sources. A personās worldview can flex throughout their life depending on all their influences, and faculty of various worldviews can be selected depending on the cultural politics of their institution. Some go below the radar like many do in countries that persecute religions. Students likewise learn how to get through the process unscathed. How forthcoming will they be when they see things like they saw during the pandemicā¦ ticketing people who attended church with windows rolled up, while it was fine & dandy to go buy weed at the local smoke shop. People losing jobs if they donāt either get experimentally vaccinated or tested weeklyā¦ often out of pocketā¦ and lumped in with religious anti-vaxxers despite being fully vaxxed prior to the pandemic. As if the only reason anyone would avoid being a guinea pig was an irrational religious one, as if all religion is irrational. Just like all mention of holding greed accountable gets labeled Marxist. These sweeping generalizations happen in hoards on the right and left, especially on college campuses. Not that all such studies involve actively enrolled students. How susceptible a student is to the accepted narratives of a given faculty (including how it shapes their curriculum and assignments) also will depend on what shaped them leading up to their time there.
Is education increasing critical thinking skills or pumping in a narrative and rewarding the parrots? How do you assess/control for that?

Because when people ask you what youāre talking about, what atheists are saying that, you donāt have a clear answer. If you canāt clearly answer what the hell youāre talking about with your little pet project of atheists who claim all sorts of things, then keep it in your own threads.

Atheism is religious too because they defend the Big Bang (which hasnāt been proven yet 100% and IS still a theory) with faith.
