Am I not of value ? Am I too different than them ?
Depends how you walk. How you walk depends how you feel. How you feel depends on what you have going on.
You said you had a psychiatrist? The dope is giving you a dissassociation that is not helping you.
I am paying for your breakfast unwillingly. How is that supposed to make you feel? What’s your walk going to look like?
People have enough problems.
You could do a thousand things. You could get a forklift certification. A licence for whatever. Keep the welfare check for beers, I’ll pay for the certification.
But you won’t.
Therefore people have no reason to give a shit about you.
How you feel will also depend on other things, and, frankly, you could probably use a psychoanalyst (not a drug de- sorry, psychiatrist, a psychoanalyst).
But without some reason to feel any pride at all, it would be prefectly useless.
Don’t mean to snap at you. Taxes are the mother of all bitches. And for what? But it isn’t your fault, you were born into it.
Pride. Aim for pride.
Is it even possible to do nothing ? Wouldn’t doing nothing or doing things that you don’t like still be something ?
Maybe they are all thinking the same thing, and you just gotta break the ice?
I’m ignored by most strangers, by far most. Unless you mean including if you ask them a question or start to interact in some way. It’s even more true today than it was 10, 20, 30…etc. years ago that people are in their little solipsistic bubbles. Right off, the amount of people who are listening to music or on the phone while in public is huge. But beyond that I think people today are even less aware of other people and I think that has a lot to do with 1) the economy and 2) social media and distraction media. I think people are less aware other people exist. Of course, they would get it right on a test. They would check the box that said there are many other humans than me. But on an emotional level, I think they are losing any deep sense others exists, bit by bit, month by month.
Of course you are not.
You can say that all human life is equal.
You can even say that all life is equal.
But value is subjective, and subjective value is assigned through bond.
The life of a faceless, nameless nobody does not hold the same value to you than the life of your friend, mother, lover, child does.
How much you valued a life will be measured in the size of the wound and number of tears they inflict upon you in the wake of their passing. When its goan, you will know exactly how much value that one life held.
It’s not that other people aren’t aware it’s that they do not care about strangers this is human nature I believe.
Sure, I got that first part. You notice they don’t walk into you or drive over your body. But if you know this is human nature, why the Thread title question?
Its not human nature. Just nature.
Any wild animal will either disregard you or categorize you by either fight or flight instinct.
Its an association matrix.
The value is always distributed by the individual, and value is only present if there is something of value. You have to prove yourself to all life to be of value before they’d consider you to be of value.
Whether its cat, a bird, another human or even an insect… doesnt matter.
Value is assigned through association. Its only present once there is trust, shelter, safety, comfort, food or something other beneficial that puts trust and value to your presence.
This might sound selfish, but its simply how the code is structured.
Once value is established other things may flourish. Kinship, appreciation, and even the will to defend and protect that which is of value to the individual.
Its something that was never there in the first place. What you feel is just the less and less reason for people to connect. That is indeed decreasing because there is just so much alternative to take your attention from your loneliness and needs.
But there was never a deep sense towards the existence of others.
We are designed to be social animals, but there is a hard cap on what amount of connections our brains can deal with. Its estimated to be around 100-150 individuals, after which your brain’s internal tracking breaks down and you are left as droplet in a sea, reverting to self defense and walling off protocols due to a lack of stability and mutual affirmation.
There are (sometimes) bridging concepts such as nationality inside high trust societies where people view eachother as kin regardless of any pre-existing condition, but those are very exceptional and few circumstances.
For everything else, you can have the group care about you and you care about the group if you find yourself a nice withdrawn town somewhere behind god’s back with less than 100 people.
There you can experience it.
Everyone knows everyone and your brain will treat individuals completely differently than in the general sea of people inside a city.
I don’t like the way humans were created in my world every human would be able to know eachother and they would be nice to eachother without needing anything in return.
Well…
If you truly loved someone.
You’d not make a universe that looks like this for them.
I think that goes without saying.
This universe is perfection when it comes to layering systems. Self perpetuation. Learning…
There are things in regards of which this universe is perfection incarnate… but love aint one of those things.
If this universe was designed, then i dont think that it was designed with love in mind.
Or it was not the kind of love that shelters. Who knows… love too has many forms.
Maybe just given the opportunity to exist, is an expression of love that holds no equal in this universe.
We have no understanding or tools of comparison to really know.
Did you guys watch Toy Story 5 where that Lilypad device was defying their good programming? Do you think that’s the programmer‘s fault? Just curious.
We start out connected… can’t build up to that.
Up to us to maintain (steward)…or lose it.
Connected to what ?
We are born communicators.
Tell ‘im @Meno2
Born talkers is not the same as born communicators.
: p
You don’t make yourself approachable
this is weird but prolly somethin to it
