Sometimes the fictional video game world is better than the real world. It’s an escape digitally away from the absurdity and despair of this one. As a gamer myself I know this all too well. 
Although I am not obsessed over the Fallout series. It’s alright don’t get me wrong, but it’s not my thing.
Sarcasm aside one could say the popularity of virtual digital escapism is a side effect of extreme capitalism concerning the poverty in the majority of the masses.
Psychology meets economics.
Although none of you neoconservatives like having those deep kinds of conversations as it requires a lot of thinking and reflection beyond the usual pontifications.
It’s an inflection point for when the world becomes too much and overly demanding that people mentally withdrawal within themselves. That happens when the real world becomes too much of a burden in diminishing returns of actual benefits participating.

This neverending fall of tears coming from my eyes has made my life into a living wet hell. I look like a human snail, leaving a wet trail wherever I go. I have been expelled from salt flats out of environmental concerns and all.
You know? With some people, and with some topics, you can’t actually get to the point. Figure it out: Suppose you have a christian that believes the bible is literally true in all its words. There’s no amount of proof enough, because they will, for example, avoid the topic and address presupposed intentions behind what you say. So, for the good of that person, you have to go about in circumvent ways. Suppose somebody told you ‘You are a liar’, and you said ‘No, I’m not’, going straight to the point. That person would say: ‘That is another lie, you just proved my point’.
See?
How amazing it is that you are right into blaming capitalism every single time? Isn’t that 100% efficiency great? It’s quite amazing if you tell me! What I would give for having that kind of efficiency almost anywhere else!

Going to be a lot of tears when this system collapses, perhaps you’re familiar with my collapse of capitalism thread elsewhere in the forum.
So many people losing all of their money overnight and then they can finally test out that rugged individualism of theirs afterward. Then they can show the rest of us what that whole individual liberty is really like.

By the way, how can you lose something you don’t have? I doubt you can lose all your money, since you can make new one
